Budget guest house centrally located

Pros: Central location but no traffic noise, breakfast included, very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Room was a bit worn out, e.g. only hot water from the tap (whereas only cold water from the corridor bathroom tap).
Location: Riverside location, 10 min walking distance to city centre & railway station. Nice pub next door serving local craft beers.
I came to Wales alone to go hiking, using Cardiff as my basecamp. Anchorage was ideal for that.
