There is a local pub just a two-minute walk away serving excellent food along with an excellent beer garden, perfect for summer evenings. The neighbouring town of Kirkby Lonsdale, just a few minutes’ drive away, has a plethora of independent shops, bars and restaurants to explore. A picnic by the River Lune during the warmer months is a wonderful way to spend a day, as is a stroll along its banks en route to Devil’s Bridge, a popular gathering place for motorcyclists, walkers, and cyclists. The nearby village of Barbon hosts the Churchmouse cafe and deli.
