Silverdale is an outdoor haven, offering the RSPB Leighton Moss Reserve and Gaits Barrow Nature Reserve on its doorstep. With walks from the doorstep and local cycle hire, you have no excuse not to get out and fill your lungs with fresh air and enjoy some stunning scenery of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Silverdale golf club is located less than 200 yards from the property and welcomes visiting golfers. For those wanting more than just fresh air there are a variety of attractions within a 10-mile drive, such as Lakeland Segway’s, Leighton Hall, sky diving or for animal lovers, there are the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis or the Predator Experience. If you prefer the sand between your toes there are beaches with 1 mile, and Morecambe is less than 10 miles by train. In fact, the access to the trains opens up the whole of the Lake District National Park, you can climb aboard and travel to places like Windermere and Ambleside and enjoy some great shopping or the lovely pubs and restaurants without having to worry about the car.
