The gateway to the Lake District, the vibrant market town of Kendal can be reached within 15.5 miles. Those who love life on the water can enjoy a peaceful cruise along the tranquil waters of Lake Windermere aboard a traditional steamer from Bowness-on-Windermere (25 miles).
