Cozy detached holiday home for up to 6 people with three bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and bathroom. It features 3 bedrooms with 2 double beds and two single beds, including bedding and two towels per person, a TV with Netflix, and a soundbar for your movies and music. With a private garden and barbecue. Free covered parking space. Centrally located on the edge of Carnoët, where there is a crêperie and a mini-supermarket. It is only a 15-minute drive to larger towns like Callac and Carhaix, where all the shops, restaurants, and supermarkets are located.
45-minute drive to the coast.
The holiday home is situated on a road that is practically a dead end, making it very quiet (hardly any car traffic).
We, as the owners, live on the same property and are available (if present) for questions, help, and tips. Our house is located 40 meters away and is not visible to guests from their spot. You can park in our large open (but covered) barn.
You have your own garden and a terrace equipped with a dining table and 6 chairs. Two sun loungers are available, along with garden chairs and a parasol.
You are welcome to stroll through our beautiful, large park garden! There is a small stream, and birdsong can be heard everywhere. Be sure to download a stargazing app on your mobile phone, because on a clear night you will see thousands of stars!
The living room features a large U-shaped sofa for 5 people and two comfortable armchairs.
There is a smart TV in the living room with Netflix, YouTube, etc.
Plus a soundbar for your own music (Bluetooth).
Wi-Fi is available.
Wood is included for the fireplace!
The village of Carnoët (department of Côtes d'Armor) is located in the green heart of Brittany and is ideal for making day trips to all the sights and attractions.
The Vallée des Saints (Valley of the Saints) is within walking distance. In 2008, a collective of sculptors began this project, resulting in an enormous collection of granite statues of Breton saints placed on a feudal hill with beautiful views over the valley.
The statues are around four meters tall, and new statues are added every year.
You can see the sculptors at work from June to September.
A very large, well-known lake is Lac du Guerledan (40 min), with many shores, beaches, and water sports centers for kayaking, sailing, and water skiing.
Also very suitable for hikers.
The nearest coast with various beaches is a short 45-minute drive away (37 km).
For day trips, consider cities and towns such as Brest, Quimper, Concarneau, Saint-Malo, Vannes, Morlaix, Ploumanac'h (with the impressive pink granite coast!), Lorient, Roscoff, etc.
If you have (electric) bicycles: the Breton hilly landscape here is wonderful for cycling and hiking! The quiet village (4-minute walk) features a pancake restaurant and a small supermarket (with all basic products, fresh baguettes, vegetables, and fruit).
You will find everything you need in Carhaix and Callac, a 15-minute drive away.
Here you will find numerous shops and large supermarkets.
Every year in July, Carhaix hosts one of the largest music festivals in Europe (Les Vieilles Charrues), featuring a variety of international artists.
Carhaix has a number of restaurants that are among our favorites: Pizzeria La Scala and La Rotonde (reservations are always recommended!).
Callac: Cafe de la Place (delicious 3-course menus under 20 euros). There is a fruit and vegetable market in Callac every Wednesday morning.
We don't charge extra cleaning fees, but we do expect you to leave the gite a bit tidy/clean upon departure.
