We arrived in our hotel at 11pm and there was sand in the bedding, enough to make us think the bedding had not been changed in between stays. Since staff is only there until 6pm we had no one there to address the issue. We emailed the hotel and received no response.

Lovely updated boutique beachfront hotel. We enjoyed the nice amenities, fluffy towels and well done room decor. It’s off season so the staff was not as available but we had a great time. Can’t wait to use the new pool too. Thanks again. We look forward to returning.

The renovation on this hotel is awesome. The rooms are spacious and the vibe is beachy chic. Beach access is steps away and there are plenty of spots to enjoy the view.

A pleasant family-type hotel; reasonably priced and right on the beach. The rooms appear to have been renovated recently and far nicer than what you typically get in hotels of this type. There is no elevator and access to rooms is external. So you will need to request a room on the first floor if access is an issue.

Looked like it had just had a remodeling. Beautiful rooms. Very clean. Great pool and beach area. Only downside is there isn’t an elevator. But amenities and decor were great!

This is a lovely hotel and I highly recommend it! There is no elevator so that may be a drawback to some but not for us. The hotel is very clean and well decorated. Who doesn’t love Pottery Barn towels! Staff is friendly and the location is unbeatable. If you’re looking for a unique amazing stay in Carolina Beach, be sure to stay at the Oceaneer.

A uniquely remodeled hotel just steps away from the beach! Our double queen deluxe room was very comfortable and clean. Absolutely love the remodel choices and decor! Pool is nice too! Highly recommend!

The room did not have curtains, only interior shutters that allowed a lot of light in at night. The mini fridge also puts off a lot of light since the entire door illuminates. The AC wasn't adjustable. The facility was new and well stocked, but these issues made it difficult to sleep and we left feeling drained.
