It was an OK stay. The staff was excellent. The location was fine. It was within walking distance to Getsemani and the walled city. If you're only looking for a place to sleep this hotel is fine. If you are looking for something with amenities it wouldn't be the best option.

Hotel Near Old Town Cartagena

Pleasant hotel near to the old town, good range of bars and restaurants nearby. However my friend had a room facing the harbour and found it to be very noisy, especially at the weekend with two night clubs nearby open until 4am and the bars close to the hotel being one of the stops on the party buses.

This hotel is within walking distance to the Wall City and a number of excellent cafes and restaurants in Getsemani. Staff (especially Jose and Kelly) were friendly and helpful. Guests could also use the facilities at the Hotel Allure Chocolate. Unfortunately the noise from the air conditioners in our room and adjacent units were unbearable. We had to turn it off despite of tropical heat! Otherwise it was a decent place to stay for reasonable price.

Beautiful hotel, perfectly located between the hip getsemani neighborhood and the old city (5 min walk) The staff was great in setting up Transfers and recommending great places to eat. They also checked us in way earlier than the check in time because our flight arrived at 9 AM. We really loved our stay and would stay here again. We especially loved Kelly who helped us. Thank you

The food was terrible! Stale, dry or watered down, whatever manner it could be to save the hotel money. The bathroom had black mold apparent and the walls were so thin I could hear the next rooms bodily functions. Absolutely horrific!

The property was beautiful but more than anything the staff was AMAZING. They were so helpful and knew what we needed before we even did. They even called a doctor for us as I wasn’t feeling well. They went above and beyond. Truly.

Let's start with I Love the Allure Bon Bon I have stayed there I think this is my 6 or 7th time. I am treated like family not a quest. The hotel is centrally located so I can walk to everything that is important to me. Room was awesome like always. Now lets talk about care and the staff. From the time I walked in the smiles and the professionalism is abound. A few days into my trip I became very ill these folks took care of me like family not employees checking up on me regularly even calling medical assistance for me. From the bottom of my heart I want to let them know how much that meant to me and how much I love them all they took care of me to the last second I walked out the door. When I travel the hotel I stay in becomes my home for the days that I am in that City. The Allure Bon Bon is my Home in Cartagena

Excellent property. Location is amazing only about a 10 minute walk to the historic city. This location is located in Getsemani, just outside, so your away from the busy/noisy area but close enough to wander out at night for entertainment or food. The hotel has another property, more upscale, just about a block away and they allow you to use their pool. The pool is amazing has great views and a great drink selection as well as appetizers; views overlooking the ocean. Hotel Breakfast was amazing consisted of fruit, your choice/style of egg, and a variety of amazing breads and mini empanadas; super filling. Room has great AC which is perfect after walking in the humid streets of Cartagena. Only complaint was that the internet would go down at times, but not really a major problem for me as you are on vacation enjoy the town and worry less about cell phone use.

Our reservation was originally for Allure Bonbon but they were doing renovations when we got there, so we were relocated to ALLURE CHOCOLAT. We loved the hotel, amenities, and the staff was amazing. When we visit Colombia we are never disappointed with the service!

Hotel Bob bon is actually closed for renovations. No one bothered to notify me. We showed up to a locked door and a security guard, who couldn't provide any information in English. A bellman from the chocolate sister property took our bags and walked with us to the other property. The room we were assigned was the smallest I have ever stayed in. No drawers for clothes, no desk, or table, not even floor space for our suitcases. We headed out the next morning at 8:30am to see the town and put the please service room sign on the door. When we returned at 3:00 the room had still not been cleaned. We had to go down to the front desk to ask for some new clean towels because we kept getting a busy signal when we called. Overall I would not recommend this hotel.

What was great about this property is how great the staff got along with each other. My husband and I were talking about this. In all the times we have traveled, this is the first time we have seen a staff so supportive of one another and so close knit. On top of the hotel being just fantastic all around with the pool, the free traditional Colombia breakfast, the room itself and the free chocolate, this was an amazing stay.

Allure Bom Bom , which was my initial booking hotel caught fire weeks prior . Therefore to accommodate my stay, I was relocated to Allure Candela , near the Castle San Felipe. Which is their sister hotel . The hotel was amazing and away from all the noise , near shopping. Entire staff was wonderful and helpful. I recommend the breakfast as the patio area for eat breakfast overlooks the Castle . Amazing

We were a little confused when we arrived as we were originally booked at Allure Bonbon but when we arrived at 11:30 PM it was closed and all of the lights were off. After knocking on the door a security guard called someone to come and meet us and we were told that it was under renovation so they upgraded us to Allure Chocolate which was a beautiful hotel, very clean and the staff were great!

I went to this property to check in but was told there was some sort of problem. Right away the person there, told me he was sending me to the neighboring property but 2 min walk which was a upgrade. I was sent to Allure Chocolate instead, which I had no issue with. This place was somewhat luxury. Nice foyer and bellmen to help, they had WiFi throughout, there was included breakfast, the room was nice modern clean and very comfy. Bathroom too was nice. There is roof top pool and bar, but was shut for maintenance. Breakfast next day was up on roof and very good. This review is for the Chocolate property and not the Bonbon as technically I did not stay there.

Allure hotels Bon Bon and Chocolat were overbooked and I was transferred to Canela said to be 2 blocks away, but really 2 miles. Good hotel with helpful friendly staff but in wrong place for me. Very difficult to get transferred back to old city because it seems they have a policy of overbooking old city hotels and only switching back people who complain a lot. Not good for Expedia's reputation so suggest you look into the matter of overbooking. Hotel Chocolat was ok but room 104 much too small and noisy for a 4xxxx.

Room was clean but extremely small....when we arrived they could not find our reservation.....they did accommodate us quickly but it was stressful to find our that we paid for a reservation and they didn't seem to have a record of it.
