The hotel is nice but the picture of the beach is deceiving. The beach doesn’t look like that at all. The sand is pretty dark and lots of rocks with no umbrellas lol. You can’t access the beach at all. Other than that, it was a good experience

Excellent all-around! The Club at the 15th floor was awesome. The food was fantastic with lots of varieties and different menus everyday. The infinite pool ambiance was very soothing but at the beach, there was construction. I would have hoped to be informed before booking.

We had an amazing stay at the InterContinental Cartagena and loved every minute of it. The hotel is perfectly located right on the beach, making it easy to relax and enjoy the ocean, and it’s also very walkable. Just across the street there are tons of shopping options for souvenirs and clothing, along with a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. The infinity pool was one of our favorite parts of the hotel—so refreshing and absolutely gorgeous with its ocean views. It was the perfect place to unwind. Room service was fantastic, and housekeeping consistently kept our room clean, fresh, and comfortable throughout our stay. We highly recommend the InterContinental Cartagena. It exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to come back! We even stayed an extra day!

This was the second time in 11 months that I've been to this hotel. The first time had no glitches ,this time it was far from perfect .Phone calls to Reception that went unanswered questions,phone calls from reception at most unsuitable hours for literally nothing . We bought club sandwiches poolside 3 times. The first two they were scrumptious and we'll served by Fabian ,a wonderful server . The third time inside the restatthe sandwich was smaller and missing a couple of items

This hotel did not meet my expectations of the typical Intercontinental property. Espresso coffee at breakfast was not included, which was quick dissappoiting. Staff at the reception seemed to be confused with everything. Pool area is very poorly designed.

The music volume in the swimming pool area was unnecessarily High. It was so annoying that it was not possible to have a conversation, read or relax by the pool. Even though we requested the staff to lower the volume nothing was done about that during 3 nights/ 4 days.
