We love the Cashiers area and have been coming during Fall for several years. We have never stayed in the same VRBO twice, but I think this may change. We loved Peace Mountain Lodge. It’s spacious, clean, has a beautiful view, and is in a wonderful, scenic neighborhood. We had good communication with the owner and felt very welcomed by him. Hope to return next year.

Heavenly!

Peace Mountain Lodge is absolutely beautiful, and the setting is magnificent. Slopes of rhododendron and floors of moss are breathtaking. Wake up early to see the glorious sunrise, and wait for the colorful sunset dream. Late in the evening step out and look up at the stars, OH MY GOODNESS! The lodge was perfect for our entire family. It’s spacious and very comfortable … we didn’t want to leave! I love to cook, and the fully-stocked kitchen made it so easy to prepare meals. By the way, you can purchase your staples at the nearby, new Ingles Market. And the large, round dining table, fabulous! The furnishings and artwork are extremely beautiful. The beds are vey comfortable, soft and cozy. If you love antiques, be sure to check out the Church of the Good Shepherd Bazaar Barn … you’ll need to reserve a U-Haul! We hope to return to paradise during another season, perhaps autumn.

Lovely mountain home

We stayed at the Peace Mountain Lodge for just one night as we were attending a wedding at Castle Ladyhawke. The castle was about 35 minutes away. We had 4 young children with us--aged 2 and below--and the house was very roomy! Gorgeous views and all the amenities we needed. Would recommend a 4-wheel drive car to get to the house, especially in colder months. The owner is very helpful and responsive! Would definitely stay here again!

A wonderful experience

We had a wonderful experience at this property. As lovely as it was online, it was even more beautiful in person. Well appointed, clean, great flow, nicely equipped kitchen, areas for personal space, plenty of indoor & outdoor seating, comfortable beds, beautiful views and more. We happened to be staying there when Hurricane Helene stormed into town and our host was concerned and helpful throughout. We highly recommend.

Quiet, mountain home with Mountain View’s and access into town a few minutes away. Enjoyed the Sapphire Valley amenities: pools, pickle ball and walking for a small, daily fee. Plenty of space and all bedrooms with en-suite baths to have privacy.

Scenic, quiet getaway

We had a relaxing few days at Peace Mountain with a few friends. We ate in a couple of nights and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Our favorite spot for meals, morning coffee, and evening cocktails was the back deck over looking beautiful mountain views.

Springtime in the Smokies!

5 adult couples, and we each had a very nice master with our own bathrooms! The shared areas in the home were spacious and comfortable. The outdoor living spaces were also spacious and comfortable. The driveway is tricky, but we are used to mountain homes, and “interesting” driveways overall it was the perfect spot for our family. Thanks John for the hospitality!

Thanksgiving in the Mountains!

Family Thanksgiving in Cashiers NC. 5 master bedroom house (each room King bed and private bathroom), 2 den areas, 2 kitchen areas. The main floor kitchen, somewhat small area for the size of the house, but well equipped; downstairs kitchen area is best described as a bar area with a small refrig. The den downstairs had plenty of seating for large groups or a place for kids to play. Each bedroom had TV with cable service. Nice fireplace on the main floor den. Deck area had plenty of seating but too cold for us to hang out there. Washer/Dryer and gas grill. Minutes away from Cashiers NC and about 30 minutes from Highlands NC. An Ingles grocery just a couple of blocks from the house. Great restaurants and shopping as well. Owner was accessible and communicated with me in advance of our arrival. Suggestion: TV in downstairs den is only a 32" - a big screen TV would make this area perfect! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend here and would recommend to anyone.

A beautiful home with gorgeous views. It was the best place we could find that had 5 bedrooms witiyj Queen+ beds for our all adult group. Owners were very communicative in our responsibilities and home was very easy to navigate. Steep windy Driveway was intimidating so be aware of this.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

Peace Mountain Lodge is in an ideal location. Convenient to everything in Cashiers. Fantastic view and you don’t have to drive 30 minutes up some crazy road to get there. The house is beautiful. Wedding Weekend

Beautiful home and great location to Cashiers and Sapphire Valley. We had 5 adult couples stay for a wedding and there was plenty of space for all of us. Enjoyed to house so much that we decided to cook in one evening and eat at the wonderful big round dining table and enjoy the deck. Also took advantage of being able to play tennis and pickleball at Sapphire Valley.

Beautiful Home in the Trees!

This is a beautiful home up on a mountain in the trees with a gorgeous view! Everything inside was well thought out, comfortable and homey! We enjoyed the home so much that we cancelled our dinner reservation because we didn't want to leave. Each bedroom is a king suite and designed for everyone to have privacy. The listing photos are accurate but don't do it justice. Excellent and very attentive communication from our host. I would highly recommend this home and hope to go back.

5 Star Family Gathering

Our group consisted of 8 adults (4 couples) and 3 kids aged 3 to 7. The house was the perfect setup for our mostly adult group. We loved that every couple had their own room with kings size bed and en suite bath. No one felt like they got the short end of the stick. The kitchen was well equipped and the living area was spacious and a great place to hang out. The dining table sat 8 very comfortably and for one meal we got all 11 of us around the table. We had a great time. I’d highly recommend this property!

A mountaintop haven

A great house for a family group or a few couples. House was beautifully decorated and appointed with everything you will need including a well equipped kitchen. We loved that each of the five bedrooms had its own bathroom.
