Chibedda Cesca - In the lock that opens the heart and mind

Fresh and airy on the inside, peaceful and clear on the outside, Cesca is the charming face of a Middle Eastern girl. Located in the center of Castellammare, it can be reached precisely through a closed road, hence the name of the Chiusa district, but the view enjoyed from Cesca is very open and suggestive on the famous gulf of Castellammare and the ancient Arab Norman Castle.
Cesca is a three-storey house with modern furnishings and details that recall the Arab style, one of the cultural presences that in Sicily has produced more beauty. On the top of the three floors of the house, there is a room where you can appreciate its taste, relaxing. The other spaces of the house are furnished in a more European style. Kitchen and bedrooms are embellished with suggestive and beneficial copper motifs, fresh is the floor of ancient tiles. There is harmony, tranquility.
The landscape can be discovered more and more as you go slowly up to the small terrace at the top, a small and characteristic observatory in the middle of the sky.

Ganz ok, nicht mehr.

Die Wohnung liegt mitten in der Altstadt, so wird das Parken und das Navigieren zur Herausforderung. Das GPS war nicht jn der Lage uns den Anfahrtsweg zu berechnen. Die Altstadt ist zwischen 20 und 8 Uhr für Fremdfahrzeuge gesperrt, also immer außerhalb mit entsprechendem Fußweg parken. Die Wohnung ist auf drei Etagen verteilt, was bei schweren Koffern schon etwas beschwerlich sein kann. Die Ausstattung ist minimalistisch. Es fehlt ein gewisse Grundausstattung, mit der dererste Tag begonnen werden kann (Spuelmittel, etwas mehr an Toilettenpapier, mal noch eine Decke wenn es kaelter wird,....). Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr zentral, man ist schnell am Hafen und in der Tourimeile. Uns platzte ein Duschschlauch, dieser wurde nicht umgehend ersetzt, was durch die dann noch einigermaßen funktionierende Regenbrause gemildert wurde, aber ein Bemühen das defekte Teil schnell zu ersetzen konnte nicht festgestellt werden. Schade! Die Kommjnikation lief recht unkonventionelle, erst nach 5 Mails wurde klar wer unser Ansprechpartner sein würde. Dann war das klar hat aber nur etwas geholfen. Noch eine Anmerkung zum Schluss: schöne Bilder bilden nicht die Wirklichkeit ab.

Un gioiello a tre piani

Appartamento fedele alla tradizione siciliana, rivisitato in chiave moderna. Strutturato su tre piani, è arredato con mobili e accessori nuovissimi: tutto è curato nei dettagli e non manca davvero nulla. La posizione è strategica, situandosi poco distante dal mare e a pochissimi passi dal centro di Castellammare. I proprietari, Francesca e Rosario, ci hanno accolti nel migliore dei modi, fornendoci preziosi consigli e rendendosi disponibili per ogni necessità. Consigliamo a tutti Chibedda Cesca, che ci ha aperto davvero il cuore e la mente!

Sehr, sehr gut!!!!

Wir haben neun wunderschöne Tage in Francescas geräumigem Appartment, das eigentlich ein separates Haus ist, verbracht. Es ist sehr geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und umfasst eine große, gut ausgestattete Wohnküche, die auch gleichzeitig der „Salone“ ist, ein komfortables Schlafzimmer mit genügend Stauraum für die Kleidung, ein weiteres Zimmer, das man sowohl als zweites Schlafzimmer als auch als Wohnzimmer nutzen kann mit schön bepflanzter Terrasse und einem atemberaubenden Ausblick auf den nahen Hafen. Dann gibt es ein sehr schönes Badzimmer mit Waschmaschine und Föhn und außerdem ein zusätzliches WC. Obwohl man direkt im alten Zentrum von Castelammare del Golfo und nur 120 m vom Hafen und 80 m von der Hauptstraße (Fußgängerzone) entfernt wohnt, ist es sehr ruhig. Francesca ist eine aufmerksame und aufgeschlossen Gastgeberin, der das Wohlergehen ihrer Gäste am Herzen liegt. Man bekommt schnell einen persönlichen Kontakt zu ihr und sie hatte uns mehr als einmal zum Kaffee eingeladen. Das haben wir sehr genossen. Alles in allem ist es der richtige Ort, für Menschen, die eine schöne Umgebung schätzen und sizilianischem Leben kennen lernen wollen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Doris + Wolfgang aus Berlin We have spent nine wonderful days in Francesca's apartment, which is actually a separate house. It is furnished very tastefully with a sence for details and includes a large, well-equipped kitchen, which is also the "Salone", a comfortable bedroom with enough storage space for clothes, another room, which you can use as a second bedroom or as a living room with a beautiful flowered terrace and a breathtaking views of the nearby Harbour. Then there is a very nice bathroom with washing machine and hair dryer and also an extra WC. Although the house is right in the old centre of Castellammare del Golfo and located only 120 metres from the port and 80 m from the main road (pedestrian zone), it is very quiet. Francesca is an attentive and open-minded host, who cares about the well-being of her guests. She has invited us for coffee more than once and we enjoyed it very much. All in all it is the right place for visitors who like to get to know sicillian life and appreciate a beautyful enviroment. We definitely like to come back. Doris + Wolfgang aus Berlin
