Located on the green hills behind the Gulf of Tigullio, very close to Sestri Levante, between Portofino and the 5 Terre, the "Ma Se Ghe Penso" holiday house offers the opportunity to experience an unforgettable holiday combining the vibrant seaside life with the quiet and bucolic life on the hills. Outside, 700 square meters of green space on terraces. Open view on Val Petronio. Barbecue area, garden furniture, 3 showers and fountains.

In our apartment, in the entrance area, you will find a king-size bed always ready to disappear with an ergonomic 20 cm mattress. So not a sofa bed. With a simple movement the living area will become a sleeping area and the sofa will remain incorporated under the bed. In the same room also a single bed cabinet. (fake chest of drawers) with frame consisting of comfortable wooden slats for a possible third guest.
Our house has been largely furnished in a classic Ligurian style, with some pieces from the early 1900s. The large outdoor area enjoys a splendid open view of the Val Petronio. You will find, at your disposal, sunbeds, deckchairs, chairs and table for outdoor lunches or dinners, sunshades. Also large barbecue area, some showers even with hot water and some fountains.
In the apartment, on request, games for children, high chair, cot with side bars. However, we will be happy to try to fulfill any other requests you made when booking.

Usually we do not live in this house so it could be that you do not see each other every day during your stay. However, we remain available to give you information. We often organize sports activities of trekking and road cycling in the surrounding areas. If you love sports, we can give you good advice.

The historic center of the village is very impressive. In the evening, lit also on the floor, it becomes a gem. We strongly recommend having a car to move around in the surrounding areas but there is also a bus service to Sestri Levante with a stop 50 meters from the house. At the same distance you will find the main services: the tourist office, the post office, the bank, the pharmacy, two grocery stores, a tobacconist, a well-known butcher's shop, a clothing store and a trattoria bar. The nearest supermarket is about 3 Km.
Varese Ligure, the first BIO municipality in Europe, is about 15 km away. You will also find a riding school a few hundred meters below our house.

Known in Roman times, the municipal territory of Castiglione Chiavarese probably marked the boundary between the Ligurian culture and that of the Etruscans. Traces of the Romans are evident on the territory with the remains of bridges, objects and lime quarries; from literary sources it is clear that the village of Velva, in the municipality of Castiglione Chiavarese, was a Roman outpost.
In the municipal territory there is the possibility to visit ancient bridges and roads of the Roman era and you can also admire a station of supplying horses and tavern of the Roman era, a rare thing because there are few finds of such works along the Roman roads, in this case along the Via Aurelia.

We strongly recommend you to have your own car. There are many parking facilities 50 meters from the house. In the whole area the parking is allowed.
Nevertheless, bus to Sestri Levante is quite frequent.
