No lift . U hv to climb 2 Long flight of stairs. Also a lot of steps up n down. The room air-conditioning is not working well. The room is constantly warm. The owner of the property was very unfriendly. When I asked the receptionist about the rates for private transfer to Palermo & celafu separately in 2 messages - the price she gave through text messaging is different from the price I ask her again the next day at the reception counter. Check out is at 10:30am sharp. There are other better places to stay. Catania is also not a nice place for tourists.

OK with a few problems

2 major problems. One breakfast left a lot to be desired, coffee from a machine that was bitter and unpleasant. Just cakes, cold cuts , and some sliced bread. Second problem is when you arrive, there is no one to open the doors and let you in unless you arrive after 3 and before 7. Difficult if you arrive in the morning.

Wonderful place and extremely friendly people!

My family and i loved our stay in Palazzo degli Affreschi! The room was big, very clean, the beds very comfortable, the bathroom spacious and spotless. Breakfast was very good, the owners of the place were extremely friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is very central, although the hotel is located on a main road, the double windows exclude the noise of the street perfectly. We liked the balcony over the street. The decoration of the room with its painted ceiling is very charming, everything fits together to give a lovely, classical Italian holiday feeling. Palazzo is a great place from were to explore this fantastic and unique city! If we come back to Catania, we will book here again!
