About this property
Charming T2 with new kitchen and cellar in central Cauterets
You will first enter a spacious entrance hall equipped with a large storage cupboard.
You then have access to the independent, functional and completely new kitchen.
The living room then reveals a rotunda bay window with a view of the central courtyard of the continental residence. It has a sofa and an armchair as well as a table which will comfortably accommodate 4 to 6 people.
A first bedroom then has a 140 cm bed and a storage chest of drawers.
An adjoining alcove has two bunk beds and a storage cupboard.
Finally a bathroom with a large shower and a towel dryer.
The W-C is independent.
The apartment has a cellar used as a ski locker and allowing cyclists to store their bikes safely.
The continental residence is located in the center of Cauterets. The hotel was built on the initiative of Catherine Balay who, after purchasing several plots of land from different residents of the boulevard, called on the Pau architect Lucien Cottet to build a large hotel with 250 rooms.
It was one of the large luxury hotels which were built in the new residential area on the left bank of the Gave from 1875, particularly on Boulevard Latapie-Flurin.
Like all the large hotels on the boulevard, it is the work of the same architect, who himself drew the plans for the decoration of the facades decorated with balconies, caryatids, and statues in Angoulême stone. The rest of the facade is in shell stone.
