Casa Vista is located on the quiet north side of Caye Caulker, separated from the village by a short boat channel known as The Split. This side of the island offers a peaceful, uncrowded setting with a few local restaurants, beach bars, and a small grocery store nearby.

The Split is approximately 600 yards south of the home. Ferry services run regularly across the channel, including scheduled service from Blue Zen Resort, making it easy to access the village while enjoying a more relaxed environment. Split to Split ferry runs until 10PM daily and the price is included across the split. If you need to get access directly to the dock, the price is 5 us per person. There are taxis that can take you for $5US from Casa Vista to the split. If you want late night life activities, transportation can be arranged across the split but must be setup early in the night to ensure you can get transportation back to the northside.

Property & Privacy

The main home sits directly on the beach.

A separate 2-bedroom ground-level apartment may be added to your reservation if your group needs additional space or reserved at a discounted rate to ensure full privacy during your stay. The 6 bedroom unit requires the use of stairs, the downstairs unit does not.

Our caretakers live in a separate home behind the property and are available to assist with questions, logistics, and light maintenance when needed. Their role is to support guests as much as needed while allowing you to enjoy privacy and independence. They can help with finding events, explaining Belizean Culture, find and book activities, facilitate transportation for starters.

Island Environment & Ongoing Care (Important Context)

Casa Vista is built in a marine, reef, and mangrove environment. Salt air, humidity, and sun are part of what makes Belize special—and they also require constant, hands-on maintenance.

Our caretakers’ primary role is to keep systems functioning smoothly and address any issues promptly. While brief interruptions can occasionally occur, repairs or replacements are typically handled quickly and locally.

Guests who enjoy this property most are comfortable with authentic island conditions and appreciate staying somewhere real and well cared for, rather than a sealed resort environment.

For safety and to keep equipment in good condition, we ask guests to receive brief guidance from our caretakers before use.

The pool is a simple concrete infinity-edge lap pool (43’ x 8’, approximately 4’ deep) with a shallow children’s section—ideal for cooling off after a day in the sun.

Water, Power & Utilities (Island Reality)

The home has public electricity and public water, supplemented by rainwater collection whenever possible and we have solar and backup power newly installed to help minimize disruptions normally associated with central American grid systems.

Tap water is not potable; filtered drinking water is provided

To conserve water, laundry is only available through request with the caretakers.

Hot water is available throughout the home via a combination of instant and point-of-use heaters.

If anything feels off or needs attention, please let us know as soon as you notice it so our caretakers can help while you’re here. Real-time communication allows issues to be resolved quickly and keeps your stay running smoothly.

With many amenities in a tropical coastal setting, occasional downtime can happen. We plan for this with local support, backups, and ongoing upgrades.
