Truly a gem.

It was a perfect blend of past and present. Amana is an amazing little town with great food and plenty to discover. I booked the hotel to avoid staying directly in Cedar Rapids, and this was worth the commute to my job every day. I will absolutely be making time to come here for a personal vacation rather than a work trip.

I loved our stay. The hotel was beautiful, historic, great location, one of my best hotel stays ever!!
This is a wall decor, hundreds of spools of wool because the hotel is a former woolen mill beautifully made into this wonderful hotel.

We did stay at the hotel during a IOWA reunion event. I found the hotel well kept, and maintained. It was conveniently located next to the event center. The room was spotless clean, and quiet.

A 5-star modern experience nestled in the historical center of the Amana Colonies. Every request addressed immediately and cheerfully completed. Since its opening, we have stayed (and will only stay) at the Hotel Millwright

We stay at this hotel on our way to our cabin in Colorado every summer. We like staying in the Amana Colony. The hotel is unique, comfortable and historically interesting. Also very reasonably priced. We like it very much.

History and a hotel all in one

This is such a unique hotel. It is like sleeping and a piece of history. They have pieces from the original mill all over the hotel as decor and it's just beautiful. I love all the exposed brick and metal and concrete because they did not mess with the original Foundation of the mill. Location wise it's absolutely a beautiful walk to the village where the shopping and restaurants are all right there. As a solo female traveler this was perfect for me. I did not use any of the amenities or I did not eat at the restaurant so I cannot come in on those but they look nice. This was definitely worth every penny I spent.
