Booked a king w/ balcony. Got to room, air conditioner wasn't working. Staff had placed portable air conditioner but it was still 82 degrees. Staff was kind enough to immediately find a new room but went from king to 2 queens which was disappointing. While staff was great in accommodating a new room, this was a known issue & advance notice of the AC issue would've been appreciated before stepping into the room. Second room seemed fine until I went to leave & noticed door didnt fully latch. A push of moderate force caused the door to swing wide open which was horrifying. Doesn't appear that the issue can be fixed without actual construction intervention. Once again the staff found me a new room but I had to repack all my belongings. Third room door latched so I counted it as a win. However, toilet paper holder never latched properly, kept falling off. A bathroom drawer kept rolling back open (construction flaw) and I would bang my leg into it. No shampoo left in the shower. The card reader on room door kept popping off. The entire room butts up to a large communal patio which was uncomfortable (luckily it wasn't busy during my stay but during busy times this would feel very exposed - curtains would have to be drawn so no access to natural light). While staff was fantastic, the overall quality of the facility has serious issues. I can't see myself staying here again. Really felt like a waste of money for motel quality facility and amenities.

Wow! We only stayed 1 night but their customer service and hotel is amazing!!! We would stay here again when we come to Iowa city! Very spacious room with many amenities close by. Hotel room is very modern and comfortable place to stay:)

The room was spacious and very clean wish we could have stayed longer and gotten to enjoy the rooftop patio. My only complaint would be lack of mirrors for more than one woman trying to get ready in the morning.

Great, safe location. The room was fabulous. Full kitchen, table with 4 chairs, a desk, spacious bathroom and 2 extremely comfortable beds. The balcony was a nice perk as well!

Nice place generally and good location, but needs better upkeep even though a newer property. For example, the toilet paper holder was broken and when trying to use a bedside outlet, it fell out of the nightstand.

Always great. My home away from home. Not far to UofIA hospitals, one block to the outside ped mall and tons of Excellent Restaurants and fun activities including the Saturday AM Farmers Market in thehei parking ramp.

The property was great, the room was super spacious! Daniel at the front was amazing. I wished there was a full size mirror getting ready for an event and only having the bathroom mirror is not ideal. Minor things I guess

Came into Iowa city do you have a big celebration with my friends. I reserve three rooms with two beds in each one room being a handicap room. When we got there one of the rooms with not cleaned well enough and the smoke stench was awful. They did not have another room with two beds. My group of six were very disappointed. There was no real apology from staff. My room was the disabled room. The room itself was the farthest door away from the elevators. I’m not sure how ADA gave that approval. I took the shower the next day. I got there and fell in the shower. The the shower floor was marbled and slick as could be. I broke a toe, and injured my ribs and hip. I told them the next morning and again no real apologies never saw a manager. I was extremely disappointed with this property.
