A Trullo With Private 10m Pool Near Ceglie Messapica

Trullo Adagio has been lovingly restored, with the passionate owner insisting on keeping many of the original features, to provide a relaxing holiday retreat. The property benefits from a 10m x 2m private pool (open May-October). A shaded dining area, along with a separate shaded area with a coffee table and comfy chairs. Trullo Adagio is set in its own grounds, about 2 acres with olive and other fruit trees from which guests can help themselves and which offer lots of places to explore. Ideal for a couple or a family the property has 2 bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms and has lots to do with internet access, a DVD player, a BBQ, MP3 player and a selection of books & dvd's. Close to the medieval town of Ceglie Messapica yet only 25 minutes from the sea the property is superbly situated to explore the local area.

Beautiful spot.

Relaxing and authentic Trullo. Gorgeous setting with a great pool and shaded area's. Lots to see in the area and great places to eat. One suggestion as mentioned in a previous review, a new mattress would benefit the trullo! We would stay again.

A relaxing retreat

A special place and a great location from which to explore puglia. If you’re looking for peace and quiet and a step back from day to day hustle and bustle we would have no hesitation in recommending a week or two here.

Beautiful Puglia

Gorgeous Trullo with good size pool

Spent a week here. Perfect layout for parents and 2 older daughters to stay with own bathrooms! Lovely shady sitting areas. Half an hour min drive to beaches. Local towns close by. 1.5 hours drive from Bari airport. Would recommend!

Lovely authentic property but with issues

Fantastic property in lovely surroundings. Our stay would have been rated 5/5 however there were some issues that left us disappointed. Firstly, it is advertised as having a wood fired oven. As a keen cook I was really disappointed to be told on arrival that the oven was not used. It was actually boarded up and could not be accessed. Secondly, the wifi connection was not working for 5 days and despite re-booting only restarted after the power tripped and was reset. Thirdly, and most concerning was an issue with water supply. As described, the supply is from recycled rain water & topped up by tanker when necessary. Our taps ran dry in the afternoon and we were without water until the following morning. Having to flush the toilet with water carried from the swimming pool is not good! Our son had to leave for his flight the following day without being able to wash. Correct these issues and the property is well worth visiting.

La maison est tres agreable et bien placee pour qui souhaite visiter la vallee d itria et a 1h30 de Matera. C est une maison neanmoins isolée et il faut apprecier cet aspect. Elle est tres fonctionnelle pour 4 et la piscine appreciable par fortes chaleurs. Tres bon sejour. Merci

Little Gem in Puglia

Restful, calm Trullo, peaceful, surrounded by fruit and olive trees. Perfect for two. Outdoor space is idyllic, plenty of seating locations, shade and furniture (new cushions for loungers would be nice), pool is surrounded by lavender. Kitchen is very well equipped and a large fridge is a plus. Indoor living area is small but probably not needed in the summer months, ceilings in Trullo are low in a few places - tall people be warned! Beds and baths are in the new addition, no height issues. Property managers Martin and Sharron were excellent. 15 mins to the delightful Ceglie Messapica, fantastic food. Take time to enjoy walking the lanes around the house. Beautiful place.

Great property and location

Property was lovely striking a great balance between rustic and authentic but having all amenities and comfort required. Great location close to Ceglie and Martina Franca and a number of other beautiful towns a short drive away. Property managers were really helpful in being flexible on check in time and advising on supermarkets and restaurants. Picked figs and walnuts from the trees for breakfast and enjoyed the feeling of being in the country. We hope to get the chance to come back.

Idyllic trullo

My husband, myself and our adult daughter stayed here for two weeks. The trullo is in a peaceful, rural setting and is very well equipped. There are plenty of sitting areas outside, some providing much needed shade. Inside, the living space is compact but the bedrooms are a good size, especially the upstairs double. We loved Ceglie Messapica, it is less touristy than some other places but very pretty and there are lots of good places to eat or simply have a coffee. The trullo is in a great location for visiting other towns. Martina Franca and Cisternino were our favourites. This was our first visit to Puglia, we loved its unique character and I have no doubt we'll return to explore more.

Perfect Puglian getaway

The Trullo was in a great location to visit the surrounding area. The town of Ceglie was stunning with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The trullo itself was just as advertised and perfect for our holiday needs....the pool was greatly appreciated with the very hot weather. We found both the owner and managers of the property excellent to deal with and would definitely consider returning!

Very attractive Trulli as the photos suggested. We all received bruised foreheads as we moved from room to room, but this was part of the adventure Owner supplied ample material before arriving which was most helpful. The couple managing the property were most obliging We particularly enjoyed the walks along the surrounding lanes. The property also gave good access to many charming villages. Car is esential

Charming, quirky, peaceful hideaway.

We spent a little more than two weeks in this delightful Trullo, ideally situated for exploring the Puglian hilltop towns, countryside and coast. The setting is quite idyllic, peaceful, private, yet only ten minutes drive from the town of Ceglia Messapica, where there are numerous excellent eateries and a charming ancient town which repays time spent strolling around its myriad narrow streets and alleys. The property managers, Martin and Sharron, were attentive, very friendly and always ready to offer practical advice and assistance if required. We felt unable to give 5 stars simply because, although the Trullo has been superbly restored and updated by the owner, the living space is perfect for two, but would be seriously restricted if, say, four adults were staying there. Also, the outside facilities, furniture, cushions etc, are showing the effects of wear and tear at the hands of many visitors and the elements and will require updating at some point in the near future. Having said that, we had a delightful, relaxing, thoroughly memorable holiday.

Wonderfully perfect Trullo in a beautiful setting!

From start to finish our holiday at the Trullo was perfect. Andrew, Martin and Sharron were all unbelievablly helpful and welcoming. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect and very clean. The kitchen and bbq had all we wished for. The pool area and outside space was beautiful and private. Easyily accessible to the towns but you definitely need s car. We would highly recommend anyone to stay here, it’s a little gem.

Great location in the country

Lovely property in the country, but convenient to Ceglie Messapica, Alberobello, Locorontondo, Matera and other great places to visit. The setting was lovely and the property was just as represented in the VRBO listing. The property manager Sharron was responsive and helpful in recommending restaurants, groceries and tourist sites. We were very happy with our stay at Trullo Adagio. We highly recommend this property for a stay in Puglia.

Fantastic.

This is 5 star plus if you want unbelievably helpful owners and managers. The property is in a rural location but only 10 mins from the nearest town. The supermarket at ostini is 20 mins away but has a great selection of high quality products. The Trullo had everything we could want with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a great pool and the outdoor space is your living room. Just loved every minute.

Great holiday and location

If you're looking for luxury then perhaps this isn't the place for you but it's interesting staying in a Trullo and this one is very well equipped and just right for exploring nearby towns and beaches. Help and local information is readily available from Martin and Sharron. For anyone who hasn't travelled in this region before and is using a rental car, don't accept any free upgrade to a larger car - the roads are narrow and sometimes single track!!!

Traditional Trullo in quiet rural setting but within easy reach of local town and super market

Excellent location to visit many attractive local towns such Ostuni, Cisterino, etc. and approximately an hour to the coast and free beaches. Trullo Adagio is in a secluded, peaceful setting and we spent many relaxing in the sun or in the shade of mature gardens beside the pool. Martin and Sharron, the property managers were extremely helpful and welcoming to get acquainted with the area. A very pleasant holiday in a charming property.

Liebevoll eingerichtetes und sauberes kleines Trullo. Keine Luxusunterkunft, aber alles Notwendige ist vorhanden.Der Pool war leider etwas kalt.
