It\'s an ideal base for exploring some of Slovenia\'s most fascinating karst landscapes, including lakes, caves, hiking trails and traditional villages. There is a restaurant a 2-minute walk away and a grocery store a 9-minute drive away in Cerknica.

Nearby Bloško lake (a 15-minute drive) makes a great day out and is suitable for swimming and fishing; trout, redfish and crayfish. Slovenia\'s famous seasonal Lake Cerknica (a 25-minute drive) is also worth visiting and is surrounded by unspoilt nature. Other nearby excursions include a trip to the beautiful natural landscapes of Rakov Škocjan (a 20-minute drive), the mysterious underground world of Postojna (a 30-minute drive) and Škocjan Caves (a 1-hour drive), the stud farm in Lipica (a 1-hour drive) and the capital city Ljubljana (a 1-hour drive).
