Charming & Perfect Location, a Couple Flaws

First you need to know the unit is cute and functional. The little patio looks out into the street filled with life all night and if you choose you can shut the doors and hear nothing. AC is super and blows strong. Big TV with expansive multi-language channels. Perfect kitchen for the space and equipped. (Oven no microwave) Bedding and linens were great. The owner is available and very nice. That all said, the internet is not his own private service. It’s a city wide shared service. It was in a word, “horrible” as it was spotty and I was unable to manage my day to day tasks. Hot water was never hot. Not really even Luke warm. Guests upstairs seemed to be breeding gorillas or rehearsing for The WWF. We thought it was just them, until this morning when the cleaning person came and replicated the sounds. It echoes noise like a drum and I am admittedly over sensitive, but even the calmest of spirits will rage. I like the owner and I feel bad for leaving a marred first review, because he was wonderful as was his assistant. They even left us snacks and basic groceries. In the end though, those three things tainted the stay a bit for us. I end possative. With WiFi, and the water being fixed (both easy fixes) we could have tolerated the noise upstairs and would have rated it 5 stars. This is my 10th VRBO in 2 months as we traveled Europe all summer. Without these issues it was a top notch condo and has a ton of charm.
