Beautiful property. Enjoyed our stay very much but was not happy about the resort fee. I know there’s a pool but most places don’t charge for that.

Regrettable but all the wiser

Beautiful looking and clean, but what good was that when I was absolutely freezing the whole time! The air conditioning was on full blast, so I couldn't relax at the café nor in the various sitting areas. I just hung around outside in the rain. Moreover, the service at the reception wasn't great: they didn't provide the WiFi password; I had to ask for it. When I asked them for a map of the city and if they could recommend a bus tour, they were somehow sarcastic and ridiculed me, as if that type of thing was no longer done (I was made to feel old, but didn't want to use my data, so preferred a paper map). As a result, I walked around town without a map and then later found out that I had missed a whole section of the city! I sure wish I had gone on a tour!

Mills House was a beautiful property to stay at. The property, the cleanliness, and the hotel staff were all top-notch. The only area that I felt was lacking was valet parking. The valet is $59 for overnight parking, and the valet staff was not timely nor friendly when retrieving our car.

Lovely stay

The whole property is lovely, the cafe and restaurant have delicious food and competent servers. Ample menu and easy to get a table. Beds comfortable. Front desk staff friendly and helpful, seemed a bit stressed during busiest part of the day. Mihir and Aldain at the pool area were very hospitable and took good care of us. For the amount spent, would have loved the pool to be heated and a hot tub. The pool area women's bathroom faucet wasnt working. Wish they would add some spa services too! Overrall lovely stay and great location.

Although, for the most part, this was a nice property it lacked helful information at the front desk (no one told us we needed the key card to operate the elevator. We weren’t the only ones who had to figure it out on our own). Quite frankly the front desk people were not overly friendly and seemed to be bothered whenever we had a question or needed help.Nor was there any information in the rooms(No area information, no helpful tv instructions, no check out time information.Housekeeping was inconsistent on a daily basis. No attention to detail (they had not adjusted the clocks for the time change) The valet staff and hotel ambassador were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The food was great, although the service was lacking for our dinner.

We had a great stay at The Mills House in Charleston. Although I had booked a room with two queen beds on Expedia but when we checked in we had a king bed. Because I was traveling with my daughter we decided to just keep it rather than putting up a fuss to move. But I did tell the hotel about the error and they gave us a $100 credit towards our stay for their mistake. The rooms were nice with a newly updated bathroom. The doors to the outside pool area were a little old and rickety bit they locked well and I liked the old charm about them anyway. The bar area is very nice as is the pool - quiet and lots of sunshine. I would stay again!

Fantastic location with all the hotspots within walking distance. Loved the poolside patio...both for morning coffee and evening relaxing. Parking garage attached to the hotel as an alternative to the $60 valet was perfect since we didn't need our car (no in/out access). $10/food credit per day was usable at both the bar and cafe was nice, too.

It is a beautiful, well maintained hotel. The room was lovely, a comfy bed, nice walk in shower. We had a Keurig coffee maker with tea and coffee choices. A couch,small table, and chair to sit and relax on. Enjoyed our stay a lot. Also when pulling up the bell hop was right there getting our luggage out and brought it up to our room for us.

This was one of the best - if not the best Hotel we ever stayed in.. The location is the best in the Historic District, with adjacent Parking with access right into the Hotel. Room was beautiful, staff amazing, Restaurant was excellent, and the best location.. We thought the room rate was reasonable due to all the above factors. we will go back.

Beautiful hotel in a great walkable location. Convenient to Historic Charleston and harbor front. Shopping, site seeing and great restaurants all so close!! Staff was AMAZING! So helpful and friendly in all areas of the hotel from front door to front desk and restaurant- we picked the perfect place to stay for our three generation girls trip!!
