The Space:

The Sugarsweet House accommodates up to 10 guests between 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths.

• Bedroom #3 – Queen bed + Ensuite large spa-like bathroom

*All ‘Flex’ rooms can be converted from King beds to two twins when requested*

Each Town & Island Co. unit is equipped with coded locks and unique codes that are changed regularly. You will receive all important check-in information 3 days prior to arrival.



Early check-in or late check-out requests are evaluated and granted on a case-by-case basis. We offer a luggage storage space on the property for guests to use as needed.

Pet Policy: Town & Island Co. welcomes pets. There is a $75 non refundable pet fee. 2 pets maximum. You are responsible to inform us you are traveling with your pet(s).



Severe Weather Policy: If a Mandatory Evacuation Order is issued by the Governor of SC, your stay will be refunded. However, if a Mandatory Evacuation Order is NOT issued by the Governor of SC, then the standard cancellation policy will still apply and no refund will be issued.

Good but a bit of a squeeze

I liked the neighbourhood and the house was very nicely done - the decor, bedding and useful kitchen and we slept well (despite very little sound proofing between floors) but it was a bit cramped with 8 of us and the table only sat 6 at a push. The pool again was not big but nicely done and well heated. Overall we had a good time.

The location was AMAZING, pool was AMAZING the house was AMAZING. the only recommendation I would have is to put a King bed in the back “primary” bedroom. We were not able to enjoy that bedroom for that fact. Disappointing because that is the biggest bathroom. Wonderful memorable vacation

Great House near King

It was a great location to upper King Street for some restaurants & shopping walking distance. Check in process was easy and even able to get in a little earlier. Communication was prompt if we had any questions. The pool was heated but wish we had more towels. The sofa bed was really comfortable! Overall a cute house in a great location.

Girls Trip!

The Sugar Sweet House was just perfect for the 8 girls during our getaway. With four bedrooms and four bathrooms everyone was very happy. The heated pool was our favorite. Gorgeous place to stay. Restaurants and shopping are walking distance. Loved the entire area.

Wedding Weekend

We chose this house to stay four nights while in town for our daughter’s downtown wedding. The house was spacious and very well stocked. We had more than enough room. We were able to walk most places and had no problem parking on the street in front of the house. We actually never moved the car. It was easier to walk or Uber where we needed to be. The heated pool is amazing. I wish we would’ve had time to enjoy it. I recommend this house and would stay here again.

Great location. Fabulous pool. Beautiful home. Extremely comfortable beds. Very responsive property management with great communication. The only minor thing to call out is that the upstairs is much warmer at night than the downstairs. Would definitely rent again.

Great house and great location!

We rented the Sugar House for our family of 4 and our 2 golden retrievers and there was so much space for all of us it was great! Lots of bathrooms tucked all over so nice. All updated (a little DIY but not bad) and kitchen/bathrooms well-stocked. Exceptionally clean. Did not get to use the pool it was a little too chilly out. Loved the Sugar Bakery right next door (almost attached lol) best oatmeal raisin cookies ever! Lots of great restaurants of all sorts within walking distance. We had a great afternoon walking down King St (only a couple blocks away) and shopping and stopping in a couple lounges for cocktails. The Charleston Market is a hike but we made it down there and took a pedicab back. Super easy to get around the whole town from this location. Would rent again!
