Staying at this historical hotel in Charleston was such a unique and memorable experience! The hotel is incredibly comfortable and clean, with charming, classic decor that really captures the essence of Charleston's rich history. The location is perfect-right in the heart of everything, making it easy to explore the city. I even had a bit of a spooky encounter, as this hotel is known for having a ghost! It added an extra layer of charm and mystery to our stay. Whether you're looking for comfort, character, or a touch of the supernatural, this hotel has it all. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a one-of-a-kind experience!

I love the fact that this property was walkable to many restaurants and shops. It was also close to the local free bus service that quickly took us to the main attractions in the area. We might have walked to some, but one of us was in a walking boot, so having the free bus service was a huge bonus. The property was older, but that's part of the charm going to a city like Charleston. The hotel restaurant, Swamp Fox, was fantastic and the staff at the hotel and restaurant were all super friendly. The only drawbacks were the very tiny elevator leading from the valet/drop off area to the lobby for check in and the odd bathroom setup. Since it's an older hotel, the bathrooms were off; there wasn't much counterspace, our friend's room had two odd-shaped bathrooms and the shower heads were very low, which was not fun for one of the guys in our group who is 6.4. At the end of the day, those are just minor items and would not deter me from staying there again.
