Pet Friendly Ocean Front Private Beach Cottage

Cozy cottage directly on the private beach in Charlestown, RI with unimpeded ocean view of Block Island Sound. Waves crash in on the beach in front of the house. Sleeps 6 with 2 bedrooms and a large private loft area with a queen sized bed, well-equipped kitchen, outdoor shower, BBQ, parking for 3 cars. Sheets, bath towels and kitchen towels provided. Bring your own beach towels. Beach chairs and umbrella provided.

The space
Ocean is crashing in outside your door on your own beautiful private beach. Enjoy the beach with chairs and an umbrella or sit on the terrace and look out at Block Island while you sip a cold drink. Wake to the sounds of birds on the pond behind the house and listen to the gulls cry as they fly up an down the coastline. Outdoor shower is a wonderful way to end the day. Perfect for a week at the shore or a quick 3-day get-away.

Guest access
The cottage is on pilings so it sits high above the beach. It has a front porch with a barbecue and table with umbrella for dining outside. The front yard is beach grass and sand with a path leading to the ocean.

Interaction with guests
Will provide guests with an information sheet listing local restaurants and some basic info. I will answer any questions you have while you are there.

Four legged friends are welcome for an off-the-leash vacation on the beach! Pet fee $30/day per pet. Stay in the area to enjoy kayaking, clamming, fishing or body surfing. Explore the neighboring areas including historic town of Newport and the quaint village of Watch Hill. Take the Block Island Ferry for a day trip to the island across the sound and ride a rented bike around the dunes. Have lunch in Ballards or enjoy a drink while the sun sets before taking the ferry back to the mainland. Enjoy the bountiful seafood with Buck a Shuck at Matunuck Oyster Bar or pick up your own fresh fish and grill it on your balcony while enjoying the ocean breeze.
