It's a new building and it's very nice. I loved my room. The Breakfast was OUTSTANDING!!! The staff was nice as well. Only 2 complaints... there's only Valet parking and its $45 a night (as of August 2025). The worker told me it's the cheapest around and any other parking lots for pay would be $70. ummm.. Not so much, sir! There was a lot a block around the corner was basically $22 a night ($10 for 10 hours). Thankfully I used Charlotte's parking app to find parking lots that were much more affordable than the hotel's valet. The second complaint was no one was cleaning the rooms as well as they should have. We still had little pieces of dirt on the floor that should have been vacuumed up from the last person that stayed there and there were dishes missing. We only had one dinner plate... Despite that, I would still stay again and enjoy the room and the amenties.

Homewood Suites on College Street were great!

We were very pleased with our Suite. When I opened the door I felt like I was a queen. The separation of the bedroom from the kitchen and living room gave you a home atmosphere. It was 3 of us in the Suite and we had plenty room. We were in town for MaryKay Seminar! The convention center was 6 blocks up College Street front the hotel. We walked back everyday to the hotel. The staff at the front desk was friendly, caring and professional! Thank you for making our a stay a great experience. Gwendolyn D Jones.

Bad Recommendation; Had a Terrible Time

Taking my son to a visit to Charotte (I don't know the area that well; better now) initially, I was very upset with my stay (matchbox luxury, limited access to anything, it's downtown, no choice valet parking $45/night). I cut my stay a day short and was just mad-but then, I realized that Homewood's business model had nothing to do with how this stay was recommended (only to say, matchbox-luxury) one size does not fit all-the bath tub that I paid extra for would make a good stand-up joke punch line (I'm 6'4") you feel me. I was there with my son to do things, go to the amazement park, go to the water park, pick-up a six pack of coke on the way park at the location, ect. How hotels.com recommended this to me does not do our (me as a customer) relaton very well.
