Disliked: Cleanliness
The property was fair at best. It was fine but I won’t stay again. There were problems with the entry code but the host called me quickly after I messaged via VRBO and the issue was resolved. Inside, there’s a light out in the kitchen and the one over the shower. The fire detector was sitting on the desk, battery next to it. The couch cushions need to be replaced and the upholstery cleaned/replaced. The coffee table seemed functional but has large pieces off the top. The mattress was mediocre in comfort. The floors are dirty. I mean dirty. Our shoes were sticking to the floor. They weren’t sticky with just socks on, which we thought was weird and don’t know why. But with just socks (white), the floors turned them dark with minimal walking within the unit. Our towels smelled musty and when I went to wash them, we discovered there wasn’t any laundry detergent available . That makes the listing somewhat misleading. I will say, it was quiet and the bathroom seemed clean. We also like the location, 1.5 blocks from the train line which takes you to Uptown, and shortly around the corner from the highway.
