Alnwick town, the location for the Harry Potter films, and the magnificent ornamental gardens, 8 miles. Superb walking in the Cheviot Hills, ½ hour drive. A 10 minute walk to the shop and two pubs. Less than two minutes to the beach and The Landing beach bar & cafe/restaurant..
