Useful location if travelling to Poland

Pros: Cleanliness and parking facilities
Cons: Be clear about room service availability
Location: Great car and transport museums nearby, if that’s what you’re into.
This was the second time I stayed here in the past 6 months. In my case, Chemnitz is a hassle-free stop-over to Poland and the hotel is well located in town and has a huge underground car-park, which I need. The only disappointment was that whilst room service was listed as “24 hours” that only came down to delivering drinks because the kitchen stops at 22:00 and I arrived at 22:30. Never mind, the bar in the hotel opposite (Opera Hotel) has a bar menu and is open until 1a.m.!;

Schöne Art deco Einrichtung. Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer. Gutes bequemes Bett. Großes Zimmer. Wenn man ein Zimmer auf der Seite der Kirche hat, hat man einen sehr schönen Ausblick auf eine neugothische Kirche des ausgehenden 19ten Jahrhunderts, aber eben auch die Turmuhr mit Viertelstunden- und Stundenschlag. Ist nicht Jedermanns Sache.

Sehr großzügige Räumlichkeiten, dadurch wirkt das Hotel trotz seiner vielen Gästezimmer und vieler Veranstaltungen ruhig. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, die Zimmer sind geräumig und gepflegt. Die Zimmer zur Straße sind ab 6 Uhr durch den Straßenverkehr recht laut. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig, der große Raum trotz vieler Gäste angenehm ruhig. Die Lage direkt an der Oper ist optimal. Die Straßenbahn ist direkt vor der Tür.

Elegantes Stadthotel, früher mal...

Pros: Es besteht direkter Zugang zur städtischen Tiefgarage
Cons: Die Zimmerausstattung bedarf der Modernisierung: zwei Stecker für 3 Geräte (TV, Lampe, Kühlschrank). Veraltete Zimmerschlüssel, eine Gästemappe fehlt.
Location: Zentrale Lage in Chemnitz, Nähe zum Bahnhof, Weihnachtsmarkt
Es entsteht durchweg der Eindruck, dass die besten Zeiten für dieses Haus vorbei sind. Ausstattung ist üppig - wenn man Vintage-Fan ist... Das Personal bemüht sich und ist freundlich. Weltstadt-Flair sieht aber anders aus.
