Tucked away in a peaceful quiet corner of the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, you will stumble across Holly Cottage, a wonderful, semi-detached, converted stone barn offering fantastic accommodation for all. Set on a livery yard, the property looks out over fields and hills, and has a large open plan kitchen/dining room and a comfy living room with patio doors opening onto a patio. The dining area is ideal for a family gathering or for entertaining friends. Upstairs you will discover two well-appointed bedrooms and a lovely family bathroom.
The area boasts not only a wealth of historic villages and traditions, stately homes and halls, and countryside pursuits, but also an unrivalled range of sporting, shopping and leisure facilities. Derbyshire offers visitors outstanding beauty with the Peak District landscape featuring moorland rugged gritstone edges, steep sided dales, popular riverside tracks, rolling fields laced with limestone walls and an underground world of mysterious caverns and potholes.
Visit the Heights of Abraham at Matlock Bath with cable car access to dramatic views, or Crich Tramway Museum and Gulliver’s Kingdom. Other places to explore include Chatsworth House and Gardens, Haddon and Hardwick halls, Castleton, the plague village of Eyam and the old spa town of Buxton, with its much acclaimed theatre in the hill. Bakewell, Chesterfield and Nottinghamshire’s Robin Hood country are also nearby. All in all, Holly Cottage offers a perfect location for visitors at any time of the year.
