Within ten miles are Chatsworth House, Gardens, children’s farm with adventure playground, the town of Bakewell, famous for its puddings and livestock market, Bolsover Castle, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall, Renishaw’s Italianate gardens, Matlock Bath with cable car to the heights of Abraham, Darley Dale steam railway and the Crich tramway museum.



A little further, picturesque villages include Ashford-in-the-Water, Eyam plague village, Winster, and Castleton with its caverns and castle and Buxton spa town.
