Very basic, but it was clean and good service at check in. Breakfast was included and was very good! Will definitely return if ever in the area.

Amazing hosts, wonderful breakfast, great location

Casa Zazil is fabulous!! The owners are two sisters who take great care of guests and keep their property pristine. Every morning starts with a made to order breakfast, arranged for the specific time you would like it. In addition to the delicious meal, you get a variety of flavored waters, milks, coffee, etc. The owners share some of their favorite locations in the area and are always quick to help. Matter of fact, they made a call to my car rental place in Cancun because I couldn’t find important information in the rental contract. My family of four included two adults and a 15- and 12- year old. We all loved Casa Zazil and would absolutely return!!

Marta and Carmen were WONDERFUL hosts! We managed to communicate with our poquito Spanish :) They were super helpful in providing recommendations for things to do and places to eat. They also helped us organise a private boat tour of the lake as we have very limited time due to the bus schedule to get to our next destination. They also have a great deal with a tour provider if you have time for a 1/2 day tour, much more reasonable than other online or in town. The property was only a 5 min walk to the ADO bus terminal, which was very convenient for us and only a 10min walk to the lake and restaurants. Also, the BREAKFAST, it can’t be forgotten - it was amazing!! Beautiful fruit, delicious eggs and pancakes for the kids. Homemade juices and endless coffee, was all perfect. Thank you again, we wish we had longer!

Free parking monitored by camera. Nice decoration. Attention to detail. Hot shower. The owner/staff is very friendly goes above and beyond. Breakfast was the highlight: they don't have a buffet, instead they cook for you and serve in the garden. Very personal service. It's close to the highway but not far from the city center. We were positively surprised and will stay there again.

This is a very sweet little hotel. It’s quite new with modern touches in the room that provide nice ambiance. Super immaculate, the beds and pillows are very comfortable and the linens are good quality. The room is large with lots of space to hang clothes and store luggage. Lots of hot water and good pressure in the shower. There’s a nice little outdoor courtyard where breakfast is served. We stayed three nights and were served three different and very tasty breakfast meals. The hotel is operated by a lovely family who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.

Seguro que regreso a Casa Zazil🏠

Muy recomendable este pequeño lugar súper cómodo, las encargadas Martha y Carmen , son muy amables y los desayunos que hacen son completos, deliciosos y diferentes cada mañana . Y hay muchos lugares cerca de allí si necesitas comprar algo y transporte, no falta dada. Y además ellas Te dan mucha información para sugerir a donde ir , yo volvería al mismo lugar a hospedarme a Casa Zazil , si regreso a ese hermoso lugar de Bacaiar, son muy amables y serviciales y muy limpio todo, recomendado al 100 %
Hermosa decoración y muy limpia y amplia la habitación incluye un mini refri y tiene un dispersador en baño con shampo y acondicionador y jabón líquido para cuerpo en tres partes Me pareció muy buena idea así no hay que estar cambiando las botellita

Marta the owner went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. Room is great. She gave us a lot of information and recommended the 2-hr boat tour and they came to get us at the hotel. The lake is beautiful and the spa really comforting (on the tour). Then they gave us transportation to Cenote Azul, where we swam and sat at the restaurant. We walked back the 5 kms but you can take a taxi. You can also swin at Cenote Cocalitos which is just besides.

Nice hotel in Mexican paradise town

Great stay at Casa Zazil. As soon as we arrived we were treated very well by the owners. It is a small location, but very conveniently located next to the highway. You also get a parking spot right next to your room. The owners will help you with anything needed. Any information is properly and promptly given by the owners. They recommended us a great tour right away where we could see the different cenotes at the lagoon. Furthermore, they recommended us great places for dinner and for a nice bar for drinks and music. The rooms are modern and cozy. I recommend anyone who is staying at Bacalar to stay at this great location.

Very good location. Walking distance from ADO bus stop/terminal and walking distance to the lagoon and Bacalar center. Room was clean with updated accessories. Positive experience with staff checking us in and taking care of us - Excellent customer service!! I will stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel back in October and have been slow to write a review. We were made to feel exceptionally welcome by the owners - in spite of the language barrier (be ready to use Google translate a lot if you're not a Spanish speaker!) they couldn't do enough to help. They offered us a ride to local cities and attractions and had loads of suggestions about things to see and do in Bacalar. The hotel itself was immaculate. Our only minor complaints were a lack of fridge in the room and only instant coffee at breakfast. But the care, attention and friendliness of the owners more than made up for these! We'd definitely return if in Bacalar again - which I hope we will be!

Modern Accommodations / Local Vibe

We loved it here. Very personalized service and recommendations. Our host went above and beyond to make our trip to Bacalar special and interesting. You can walk downtown in about 10-15 minutes and see the local neighborhood or call a cab easily. Personalized light breakfast in the morning - let them know in advance if you want something special. Great if you want to get a feel for the town rather than stay on the Laguna. Note: brush up on your Spanish

La stanza era davvero pulitissima, la padrona di casa FANTASTICA! Appena arrivati ci ha informato subito su tutte le cose che era possibile fare nei dintorni e ha dato la sua disponibilità per eventuali prenotazioni con prezzi inferiori (dicendoci di chiedere prima in centro per avere la certezza); noi abbiamo chiesto e infatti abbiamo poi prenotato la gita in barca in laguna tramite lei! Il centro è raggiungibile a piedi con una passeggiata di 15 minuti, e la prima sera sera la signora è stata così carina che ci ha accompagnato per farci vedere la strada. Per colazione ti fa scegliere tra più opzioni, noi abbiamo optato per i pancake e sono stati super!! Sicuramente un posto consigliato!

Struttura recente, sopra la media. Pulitissimo, letti molto comodi, presente di piccolo frigo bar e cassaforte. Le titolari sono gentilissime, molto disponibili. Colazione super, ogni giorno cambiava menù e potevi metterti d'accordo con loro per qualsiasi esigenza o intolleranze. Posizione strategica, a dieci minuti a piedi dal centro, la zona è tranquilla si può camminare tranquillamente a piedi. Consigliatissimo!
