The citizen M chicago has a very strong aesthetic making the the entire hotel itself feel like an attraction. The rooms have many cool features (lighting, automatic blinds, connected tv) utilizing tech all controlled by an iPad in the room which really made the experience feel modern. The lobby staff were also very friendly and inviting.

As I checked into my room, there were dirty towels in my room, the towels in the bathroom were dirty but folded as if they are fresh ones. One of the worst stays in a hotel in three decades of my traveling experiences.

Everything is great except the room is quite small. The lotion in the room seems to have been there for a long time. I pumped out a little, and it has already separated into oil and water—it's quite alarming.
