Conveniently located near Michigan Ave, Grant Park, Millennium Park, the Art Institute of Chicago and restaurants. No self parking and parking is expensive but comparable to other hotels in the area. Housekeeping only comes every other day and when they did come, they did not refill conditioner. Minor but annoying especially since they come every other day. Staff were very nice and the valet were surprisingly helpful giving advice on getting around town.

Nice and clean, and staff was great! Only issue we had was that when we checked in, we were told that if you extended your check out till 12, it was complimentary. Even the night before we asked just in case and they told us to call around 8-9 to extend it and we would be fine. We drove in and were having car issues so we called early the morning of check out and asked for it to be extended while we figured it out. Though when we called, they said they weren’t doing late check-outs that day. Thankfully, they accepted our request, so no harm no foul. Just thought it was odd that 2/3 people we talked to said nothing about it possibly not being an option. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Nice room but So hot everywhere else

Hotel was clean, but there was not any air conditioning on in any of the hall ways or lobby. Room was clean and nice. Shower dripped on the metal drain every 5 minutes and it echoed thru the room. 2nd night I have to put a wash cloth under it and close the door. AC was off in the room when I first got there and it was 80 degrees. I turned it in and it cooled off after a few hours. The next days. I left for the all day. When I came back the AC was shut off again and it was back to 80 degrees. It made for a rough night as it took a few hours to even cool off.

The staff and operation of the hotel seemed exceptional. The carpet on our floor as well as our room looked worn and dirty. It might have been clean; but it didn't look nor feel like it. There were a lot of chips in the paint in our room and a stain on the ceiling where it looked like tea somehow splashed up there. On a positive note, being so close to the lake was wonderful and the area is beautiful!

Great family hotel

The service is great but not excellent. Downstairs restaurant was great for breakfast. Pool is a great place for kids. It is open from early morning to late night. There is coin-operated laundry machine $3+ and dryer. The bills could be exchanged to coins at the lobby. It is an easy walking distance to lake walk and museum campus. The room is cleaned every 2 days.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was super friendly and very helpful with what we needed. We did arrive a few hours before the designated check in time, but the staff were accommodating and were able to get us into our room quickly and without trouble. The hotel itself was beautiful on the inside and the location offered a lot of great views. We stayed in one of the corner rooms and our room had the perfect view of Lake Michigan and Grant Skate Park on one side and the other we were able to see the high-rise buildings in the city. The location was very convenient, everything we planned on going to was walking distance and it felt safe. We were there for a concert at Soldier Field and the walk was about 15-20 mins but didn't feel that long because of the path you could take right through the park. There were a lot of pedicabs on standby to get you wherever if you didn't feel like walking too, or the drive would've been about 5 mins from the hotel. The hotel did offer a 24hr valet parking service which we felt was a huge convenience, because parking in the downtown area is ridiculous and expensive. The fee during our stay was $70 per night which was just taken out of our incidental hold (which was $75 per night). I'm not too sure if that's always the fee or if that's what it was due to the event going on during our stay, but either way I'm glad it was offered. Only Cons: The elevators were sort of crazy, and the gym room was fairly small.
