One night layover for the win!

I was just looking for a layover spot (and not wanting to sleep in the airport.) It was a nice room, very basic, but quiet! It was a great room for the price point. The shuttle supposedly stopped running at 10pm, but they were still operational when we got in at 11pm. (The shuttle driver said the hours were "flexible".) Front desk employees were very nice and helpful. I was asked if I wanted 1st floor or 5th floor. It was nice to have the choice. We picked 5th and don't regret it at all. The room was eerily quiet. We didn’t hear neighbors, the freeway or airplanes at all. We didn’t realize until the morning that the hotel was sitting essentially at the end of one of the runways! I would probably stay here again, if I had the same circumstances. Not sure if I would pick this place if I was doing multiple nights, but one night was great!

When you enter the property you only see an old hotel, it's a bit disconcerting until you realize La Quinta is at the other end of the property

I had an unexpected delay at O'Hare and this property was a great price point that had a shuttle. The room was clean and decor was updated. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The area around the hotel was dimly lit and dirty. Every time someone went in or out of their room, it sounded as if someone was coming into my room. Needless to say, because of the noise I did not sleep well. There is a shuttle service to and from the airport which was extremely helpful.
