Definitely needs an update. Carpets were worn out and faded. Common areas were nice. Pools were nice but the steamroom was iffy. Its too bad as the concept is great. They really need to invest in a renovation.

Harrison is a beautiful location and the area has done a wonderful job of developing the waterfront area. The hotel itself is in desperate need of updating with worn carpets and tired decor. Our room in particular (in the main building) had faded, worn, warped and stained carpets with old mismatched chipped furnishings. The bed, however was comfortable, bathroom was spotless, sheets and towels were high quality and the air conditioner worked well. The indoor and outdoor hot pools are clean and the area appears well maintained. We enjoyed dining in the copper room- good food and service and we appreciated ambience and the live music and dancing. Overall we had an enjoyable weekend at Harrison but were disappointed in the accommodations.

The service was less than I expected for a water resort hotel. For example, there’s no readily available drinking water—only two bottled waters are placed in the room, and you need to request replacements daily. Similarly, towels and robes are not refreshed unless specifically asked for, which feels inconvenient in a resort setting where water activities are the focus. It’s easy to forget to ask for simple things like fresh cups or extra water. A small improvement, such as adding a water refill station in the reception or main lounge areas, would make the experience more comfortable and sustainable. Overall, the facilities were fine, but the lack of proactive service and basic amenities brought the experience down.

We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools. Not too crowded and we also took the firm pressure massage at the spa which is very good. One thing we disliked is the smell of the resort. Due to its age and condition, it has a musty smell from the old carpet along the corridor to the room.

The property holds 3 beautiful hot spring pools, inside the building has beautiful art work and lots of cozy sitting spaces. The rooms in the Heritage building are outdated but the rooms in the East Tower felt much nicer. Did not enjoy that rooms had balconies that overlooked the hot springs.

The property is in need of maintenance. The hallway carpets were disgusting. The screens on our window were covered (outside) with bugs. None in the room but unpleasant to look at. They do not refresh the rooms every day. Beds/towels, etc are only done every second day. The staff were lovely! Although they did mention that management had cut back so they just have to work harder. I won’t go back.
