This part of the island classified "Natura 2000", is a very authentic region because preserved from mass tourism.

If you are looking for a typical island, you will love Chios which has kept its charm and authenticity.
At the same time, environmentally friendly tourism has developed on the island.
Its medieval villages in the south have remained intact (the inhabitants live there from the traditional harvest of the "mastiha", inscribed in the cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO). Its beaches are uncrowded (you can even find your private beach there in the middle of August). Its inhabitants are very welcoming and warm,.
Chios is a totally exotic island with multiple influences. By choosing Chios, you leave the main tourist routes to discover an original island in the Aegean Sea, with Oriental scents: Chios is only a few kilometers from the Turkish coast.
