Dara Cottage is a beautiful 16th century, thatched roof, character cottage in Mickleton, a picturesque Cotswold village.

Situated in the heart of the beautiful village of Mickleton, Dara is a thatched cottage, steeped in history that sleeps four and has two double bedrooms and a beautiful, private secluded garden.

Dara Cottage is an ideal base for exploring the North Cotswolds, Shakespeare country and the Vale of Evesham.

Dara is a stunning cottage full of character and charm.

Guests enter the property from the garden patio area into the bright and cosy living room. There is a Smart TV, working fireplace, sofa and a comfy chaise longue, offering plenty of seating for four people.

Heading through the cottage, takes you to the beautiful dining area which seats four comfortably. Adjacent, there is a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, full-sized fridge-freezer and Nespresso coffee machine.

The stairs to the first floor are by the rear entrance. As you reach the top of the stairs, on your right is the stunning, master bedroom. This has a super comfy double bed with a views of both the garden and the front of the property. Across the hall is the second bedroom which has a lovely small double, fitted wardrobes and a view over the village square. Both bedrooms come with hotel quality crisp cotton sheets, fluffy towels for each guest and complementary toiletries.

The bathroom has a walk- in shower with sink and WC. There is also a washing machine available to use.

The garden is stunning, fully enclosed and private and has a mixture of plants, grass and patio. There is a good sized patio table for long lunches in the sun shine. there is off-road private parking for one vehicle at the rear of the property. Additional vehicles can park on the road to the front of the property, on a first come first served basis.

As this is a traditional Cotswold cottage, there are some low beams and steep stairs, so please be careful.

Please no smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property.

CHECK IN
Check in time is from 3pm but we will try to let you get into the house sooner, if requested. It just depends if we have guests staying the night before.

CHECK OUT
Check out is 10am, so we can get the property ready for our next guests.

Guests will have access to the whole property, including the private garden.

Dara Cottage is strictly no smoking/vaping. As this is a traditional Cotswold cottage, there are some low beams and steep stairs, so please be careful.

Chipping Campden is 3 miles away; Broadway 6 miles and Stratford-upon-Avon 8 miles. Many of our local villages are locations for the BBC series, Father Brown.
Mickleton sits on the Heart of England Way and the Monarch Way with the Cotswold Way starting just three miles away. There are a plethora of walks in the local Cotswold hills with Hidcote Manor Gardens and Kiftsgate Gardens just a mile away.
Mickleton has plenty of village amenities within walking distance, including two pubs and a hotel with bar and restaurant; cafe, village shop, plant nursery, beauty salons, fish-and-chips takeaway (Friday nights). etc.
EV Charging is available within the village at very competitive rates.

IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.

We loved the cottage and the sweet yard and were very comfortable there! It was incredible to stay in a place with so much history. We very much appreciated the welcome basket and the thoughtful touches. The location is excellent. Had a wonderful Sunday roast across the street and enjoyed the other restaurants and the bakery in town (Sarah's bakery). A wonderful base from which to explore the Cotswolds. We loved it!
