My recent stay

The staff I interacted with was very nice and helpful. One of the associates I spoke with even offered Hilton honors points for my inconvenience and that was sincerely appreciated. That being said, my room was clearly not cleaned prior to my stay. I saw red residue that looked like food or vomit on my ice bucket lid, there were insects in my room, there was a strong musty odor in the air instead of cleaning products, the shower water was cold, hair and oil on the seat in my room, and it was difficult finding an ice machine that wasn’t out of order. Overall, I expect more from the Hilton brand and I was extremely disappointed with my stay. I ended up just checking out and going home Sunday night instead of staying until Monday because I was so uncomfortable.

Heating and cooling system did not work correctly. Room would never get below 75°. And the air conditioner made loud noise periodically throughout the entire night disrupting sleep. I informed the front desk and I’ve seen no compensation.

This is a very nice hotel with easy access to downtown Cincy. The staff was great, and even though we had a rough checkin the staff made up for the issues and did a great job.

Ehh… I’d avoid if possible.

A poor hotel. It smells musty when walking into any room. This was our second stay, thinking we just had a fluke the first time, nope. I even left a review and they have yet to contact me from our first stay. The bartender was terrible. She thinks it’s more important to be on her phone with AirPods in and texting than it is to wait on guests. Happy hour she couldn’t handle and she had someone on the other side too. She is rude. Seriously will NEVER stay here again. The bathroom wallpaper was peeling off and you can tell that’s from moisture. Our toilet seat was broken. We took showers and had to stand in our own dirty water because it took forever to drain. I truly honestly want a refund after this stay but that probably won’t happen as I’m still trying to get an explanation as to why I was charged a ‘balance’ upon checking in and they have no explanation as to why. This hotel needs work on so many levels. We gave it a second chance and we are regretting doing so. I would avoid if you want a nice couples stay. Nothing nice about this hotel.

Wonderful staff, and great breakfast. Great view and lobby was clean. Absolutely awful filthy room. Door was broken to the point the kids couldn’t shut or open the door, phone was broken, ice bucket dirty and broken and coffee pot dirty. Bathroom, kitchen area both unclean and destroyed. Needed a lot of updates. Also smelled like cat pee. Overall the room was a downfall compared to the rest of the hotel. The pool was also cold and disgusting. Hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. It was gross to walk in the pool area. We were disappointed for how much we spent.

Most of the employees acted like you were a bother when you asked for anything. The a/c was not working properly. The worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. I would like to commend Brian on the front desk. He was the only one w would help us when he was on the desk. The valet people were also good.

When I checked the sheets, there was dried blood on the bottom corner. It seemed like they still used dirty sheets putting the soiled area towards the bottom hoping customers wouldn’t peel back the top sheets and see how dirty it was. We discovered this before we went to bed at 11pm and called to get housekeeping to change the sheets. An hour and a half later, no one came so we called again. After waiting at least an additional 30 minutes, someone came to give us a sheet (which didn’t fit) and we had to put it on ourselves.

Even though the hotel is older and not really up to date, our stay was great. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The breakfast was amazing with made-to-order omelettes, and the evening reception was nice with a couple free drinks plus a few snacks. The hotel is in a great location to walk across the river to Cincinnati. The staff at the hotel was always willing to help and were very friendly.

We ALWAYS love an Embassy so it was a no brainer to stay here for the Reds game on Monday, July 7-9. When we arrived, check in was fine. Got to the room and they had the air set on 60, but the room temp was 74. We asked about it and they gave us fans, but no other room was open. We asked the next day about the status of getting it fixed was and we had the MOST rude interaction with Rebecca. She said she would send engineering to look and wrote it down. Hours later and no one came. So down we went again. The room has not moved from 74 degrees even when set on 60-68. They finally sent someone. Did not tell us anything that he found and again no offer of another room. Still didn't work. We had to yell over the box fans they provided us the whole trip. They do offer us a one night refund, which was perfectly acceptable. However, it doesn't end there. I paid Expedia $268 back in March for this trip. So we were getting roughly half back. That all went through just fine. Until I checked my account and I had a charge from the Embassy for $274 more dollars. The receipt they sent said $45 for parking a drink. No mention of the $274. So now I've spent half the day trying to find someone who can help. RIDICULOUS. I do want to say the bartender and omelet guy are the best people they have at that hotel. Always helpful and smile, unlike every other encounter we had.
