Somerford Lagoon can only be used for non-powered water sports between the 1st of April and the 30th of September


In order to minimise disturbance to overwintering wildfowl, the footpaths to the Southern and Eastern edge of Somerford Lagoon are not accessible from the 1st of October to the 31st of March


Spinney Lake is available for non-powered water sports all year.

Lower mill estate

We’ve been to this estate before so we know how beautiful it is, such an incredible holiday! The only issue is that the listing stated that the property was 4 bedrooms and when we arrived one of those bedrooms had a sofa bed, as I have 3 children it was all a bit of a squeeze! It was fine in the end. The one thing I would say is that whilst the property was beautiful and the location stunning (excellent addition was the lake access directly from the property, eventually when they had cut the brambles back a little!) but the storage in the children's bedrooms (the twin and the snug) was really lacking. There wasn't really enough space to put all of their clothes, we ended up having them all in the second double room. The air conditioning was a lovely addition! Thank you for a lovely holiday, it was just a shame about the 4th bedroom!
