Great little find!

Excellent hotel in the right place. Restaurant and bar just what I needed. Full spread at breakfast with plenty of seating inside and out. Very reasonably priced. Top marks in my book!

Poor customer service

Quite bad experience overall. Hardly speaking English. I arrive one day from work and the bottle of my perfume is in the floor broken, I speak with the receptionist who called the cleaning lady and apparently no one did it but that was broken. I was offered a coffee for the inconvenience btw... I had to ask them to clean it coz they were about to leave the room like that.

A disappointing stay!

This hotel was quite difficult to find despite using sat-nav. First impressions of hotel were that it was a little like a slightly upmarket Campanile. Room was fine although many channels unobtainable on TV due to poor reception. Evening meal was fine if somewhat uninspiring; starter buffet had only salads on offer, no cooked meats or anything else. In the morning the hot water failed in the entire hotel so we had what the French call "une douche froide". Breakfast was average. When I asked for a reduction of the bill because of the lack of hot water one of the breakfasts was deducted, saving me only 10 euros - hardly the most generous of gestures.

a good, solid place.

just went there (Claix) on business and this hotel is really close (50m, 150') from the company. Not much special in the area, except for the breathtaking view of the mountains. Breakfast is good, but not much food choice. Never had lunch there. Dinners are really good, especially for the price. Rooms are simple and small, but it's quiet, AC/heating works well, windows open, and close (I don't take that for granted) and beds are reasonably comfy. Shower works well and all is clean.

A cute hotel!

The food was great, room was clean and well-maintained, the location was very convinient. Sure the rooms are small, but they are actually very cozy. I'll stay there again when I go to Claix.

the only game in town

the hotel is clean but it needs renovation. The rooms are small with only enough space for one person to sit somewhere else than the bed. And the bathrooms are very small; the shower stall has only a soap dish that slopes down so there is no place to put your shower products except on the stall floor. I understand they are in the process of renovating the bathrooms in every room. HOWEVER, the hotel staff is very friendly and most speak English fairly well. It has a full-service restaurant but no bar area. The food is good if you can figure out what to order - even the English menu they can provide has some French words in the descriptions.
