Simply WOW!

What a wonderful villa - we liked it so much that on the first night we booked two weeks next year! The villa is large, very spacious and effectively split across many levels and spaces. With two adults (parents), an adult eldest child and a teenage child, there was space enough for all of us to come together for meals and socialising but also space to sit quietly on our own reading a book or sunbathing. The kitchen was very well equipped with the added bonus of an exterior kitchen with fridge (great for wine and beer - as well as water) BBQ and pizza oven. Melanie and Dirk were great and responded very quickly to any questions we had. The local village was a pleasant ten minute walk along a very quiet road and had all the essentials (and three very good restaurants). The villa is well located, but do think about the winding roads with hairpin bends - almost like a ski resort in parts! Great fun but take care. Highly recommended (unless you want to book the weeks when we do...).

The most relaxing time

We had a wonderful stay at this villa. It is so much better that the photos. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, peaceful and restful. The owners have clearly taken great care to think about the small details that make this place so comfortable - cushions, baskets for storage etc the pool was wonderful. The views were fantastic. The outdoor area was really lovely. The village is very sweet and the local restaurants are great, including Le Clavero and Le Pizza van (find it on Google maps)! We loved driving to nearby villages for food and a pootle - Bargemon and Callas etc. Nartelle beach was really good for the kids - shallow water and good facilities

Wonderful house, high spec throughout with great views and plenty of space. Particularly liked the outdoor kitchen with pizza oven ( such fun) and excellent BBQ. Easy and pleasant walk into Claviers where there are 2 excellent restaurants and a wine bar, small shop and bakery. Dave and Tracey are excellent communicators and extremely helpful.

A lovely peaceful location and beautiful part of France.

Another fantastic stay at Dave and Tracy’s beautiful villa. We love the views from the back, overlooking the swimming pool and olive grove out onto the wooded hills. Great lounging and eating area with bbq every night and pizzas from the pizza oven. Just a 5 min walk into Claviers to the bakery and small shop. All you could wish for, oh and the air con when it hits 38 degrees!

Superb villa, quiet, peaceful, has everything you want!

A wonderfully quiet location with super views of the surrounding wooded hills from the terrace. The villa is only a 10 minute walk to the village centre of Claviers (with bakery, small shop and several cafes/restaurants). The pool is clean and well maintained as are the facilities. The built-in BBQ and brick pizza oven within the covered terrace were easily large enough to cater for our group of seven. Three bedrooms are en-suite with the fourth also having it's own bathroom. The air-conditioning in the villa is a real bonus. Owner was very quick to respond to a couple of queries we had and was really helpful. This is just a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing week. Just make sure you deactivate the burglar alarm BEFORE entering the kitchen!

Great Break

Dave was a great help in assisting us locate the property. The property is in a wonderful scenic part of the country. We as a party of 6 (3 generations) had a great time. Weather could have been better but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Utilised the outdoor BBQ regularly. Pool, only once, but it was great to sit at night and enjoy the ambience the floodlit pool provided.

Villa at Claviers

Lovely villa about 10 mins walk from small village, Claviers, which has a small shop, bakery and a few restaurants. The bigger village of Bargemon is a ten minute drive and is super. The villa has great views from the terrace of the wooded hills across the valley. The house is well equipped and the air conditioning in the bedrooms is especially luxurious Three bedrooms have en-suite, the fourth also has its own bathroom and shower room (one or two of the showers and outside sink tap need investigating to improve flow). The pool is a fairly standard size, clean, and big enough to amuse the kids, with a few inflatables available. The kitchen is compact and has every thing you need (fridge and dishwasher doors also need a bit of maintenance - August 2019). However, we cooked almost entirely on the BBQ, which is well designed with an air flow from underneath, so much better than those just on a hard brick surface. We used the pizza oven once (made our own pizzas from scratch) and it worked a treat - easy enough if you watch a few you tube how to videos. The wifi worked well. The house could do with a DVD for the kids - can't remember if this was in the spec but would be a good addition. In summary we had a fantastic stay - the location is rural, lovely and quiet, and the house had most of what we wanted for our holiday. A good solid 4.5 stars.

Lovely villa with great outside space

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Claviers; plenty of space inside and out for the four of us. Kindly, Dave had turned the central heating on, which given that the weather was a bit iffy, was extremely welcome. We also made use of the lovely (external) fire when outside dining (which even with aforementioned dodgy weather, was still possible upon occasion). We weren’t brave enough to use the pizza oven, but can imagine that it would be great to cook with, given a bit of time to experiment. The roads in and out of Claviers and surrounding village take a little getting used to (those hairpin bends are quite something), but we mastered them! The pool was super, although as Dave said, would be “fresh” (he was right), so dangling our feet was as far as it went. Sitting on the terrace watching the sun go down, looking at the super view, was our fave thing to do in the evenings (accompanied by a G&T or glass of wine obvs). There are lots of lovely villages and restaurants in the surrounding area, so I would recommend that everybody takes a tour around if they can. So, all in all, a great week away. And a super house to do it in. Thank you!

Exceptional accommodation in beautiful typically French surroundings

Just returned from a 5 day stay at this beautiful villa. Decorated to a very high standard, modern, clean and comfortable. Village of Claviers a few minutes walk away and typically French with Boulangerie/patisserie for amazing bread and pastries, a mini supermarket, two restaurants and a locally run bar. Would recommend a car if you want to visit some of the local vineyards and taste the amazing wines. Would highly recommend Chateau Desclans and its wonderful Whispering Angel rose wine - delicious! We will certainly be returning to this gorgeous villa next year.

A lovely villa in a beautiful area with fab views

We were a party of eight adults and the villa was large enough for us to have our own space. The furnishings are comfortable, modern and very clean. The pool area is well equipped with loungers and shaded areas, the pool was cleaned weekly early morning so we were not disturbed by this. We spent most of our time out on the terrace enjoying the spectacular view over the valley with a glass or three of the addictive local wine. There is a large built in bbq and pizza oven, (the trick to successful pizza is polenta on the pizza peel to stop them sticking to it). We had a few trips out but the weather was so hot the pool was the best place to be. All in all we had a very relaxed, chilled out holiday which was just what was needed.

Fanstastic villa, beautiful town, gorgeous area

We were lucky enough to stay at Dave and Tracey's spacious villa in late August. Occupying a large, private plot, Villa La Passe has the feel of an upmarket and well provisioned home. Unlike some rentals where the owners clearly look to cut corners, it has a warm feel and everything you will need for a fabulous holiday. The outside kitchen and pizza oven are a real boon and the bathrooms (all four of them, three of which are ensuite) are highly speccd with honey coloured marble and have a spa-like feel. There are a number of terraces which seem to be sunny all day (35C when we visited!), meaning that our party of four adults and three children could happily relax, sunbathe or lark around to our hearts' content without ever feeling we were intruding on each other's space. It is a kilometer's walk into Claviers along a quiet, well it road. The village is very old and picturesque and is surrounded by wonderful views. It has two lovely restaurants, a pizzeria, a small bar, a boulangerie which makes amazing bread and a small convenience store. A number of similarly lovely towns are a short drive away, some with large supermarkets and, for the more adventurous, swimming lakes with a wide range of water sports. Plus, there are a number of lovely vineyards nearby who warmly welcome visitors. All in all, a great find! Gareth P, Cheltenham

Fantastic Villa Fantastic Holiday

Well 5 stars says it all. The villa exceeded our expectations . We were a party of 8 ( 4 couples) ...we all had good sized bedrooms, our own bathrooms and loads of space to enjoy in an extremely well appointed, clean and comfortable villa. The views are magnificent and I would imagine as Autumn takes a hold will get better too. Local facilities in Claviers are more than adequate and there are supermarkets about 25 minutes away . Claviers is far enough off the beaten track to ensure peace and quiet and yet within an hour's drive in each direction there is almost too much to visit so ideal. The only trouble now is that we enjoyed the stay so much we need another holiday now to recover! Dave,Tracey and of course Fiona who met us on arrival and departure thanks so much and hopefully we will be back next year

A lovely villa in a stunning area of France

We loved our stay at Villa La Passe, it was in a beautiful area in Provence Alps, Claviers was a charming little village, the restaurants were very friendly and obliging and the food was good too especially at L'Olivier. It is also well worth visiting the other villages in the area. The villa itself was very well equipped, very clean and well maintained. The view was amazing, especially from the master bedroom balcony. Definitely a villa you would enjoy coming back to you.

Returning again to Villa La Passe and its charm and where it's situated will always bring us back ❤️

Had a wonderful stay yet again in this beautiful Villa! Such a quiet get away from everything, but close enough to visit the coast if you want to. We've had a fabulous stay relaxing with family, welcoming the pool in the glorious sunshine, not to mention the cote de provence rose wine! It's a must! The Villa is very well equipped and we all enjoyed making pizzas in the pizza oven and steaks on the BBQ. The Villa owners were very approachable and knowledgeable about the area and nothing too much trouble. So glad we decided to return here again, this time to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary with our family, I would definitely recommend the Villa, it's spacious and clean and views are stunningly beautiful! There is nothing you won't like about it! We would return in a heartbeat! Thank you for a fabulous holiday!

A perfect holiday home

What a beautiful villa in a fantastic, tranquil setting (including wild boar in the olive groves!). It was very well-equipped with everything you could wish for, spotlessly clean and well-cared for, and extremely spacious for our family of 6. It was very hot while we were there, so we made great use of the beautiful pool and terraced areas and the outside kitchen, barbecue and pizza oven. We also ate out in the village, which is itself very beautiful, very friendly, and only a short walk away... Thank you, Dave and Tracey, for sharing your wonderful home with us!

Brilliant villa

This is a great villa for a large group with 4 en suite bedrooms decorated and furnished to a high standard. We also had 2 children on a mezzanine and mattress which need to be over 7 for safety and no sleep walkers. The villa is situated about half a mile outside the picturesque village of Claviers on an old railway line so level cycle or walk to the village for baguettes and pain au chocolat. The villa is quiet with little traffic on the nearby road with parking in the drive or outside on the old line. Connections by road are good with St Maxime about 40 minutes and the Verdon Gorge about an hour. The roads are well surfaced and surprisingly quiet for the end of July. The villa works really well with plenty of room inside and outside to lie in sun or shade on different decks around or over the pool. The outside eating area under cover is excellent with full crockery, cutlery, fridge and bins besides the full equipment in the kitchen. This area has a pizza oven and charcoal barbeque. The large swimming pool has a full width waterfall feature and is excellent, big enough for 6 adults and 4 children. The olive grove on from the pool is great for losing the kids when playing games. We had a fabulous holiday and can thoroughly recommend this villa.
