I liked the staff and breakfast. The hotel overall is in bad shape. Security door at end of building was broken and anyone could enter building. Air conditioner was very noisy. TV channels very limited.

We actually did not stay at this hotel… We walked in, looked around the rather dirty facility, found 2 signs taped to the counter - one saying the pool and hot tub were out of order and one saying the ice machine was also out of order - and walked out. We drove down the street and checked into a different hotel.

Old Property / Poorly Maintained / Filthy Bathroom

Check-in was flawless. Attendant was super nice. That is where is ends. Facility has aged poorly with little no maintenance upkeep. Got to room and went into bathroom where there were hairs all over everything. Bathtub was littered with long black hairs. Stains on bedding were all over comforter. Carpet at entrance to room 200 is torn up and no effort to correct. Room adjoining a/c stopped cooling in the middle of the night. Make this trip in the future, we will bypass Clayton and stay somewhere else.
