The condition and cleanliness of our room were disappointing. There were toenail clippings in the bedside table and the sofa was stained. The fixtures in the bathroom were loose and in poor condition. Ok for a one night stopover, but wouldn’t have been happy staying longer. We were away early so didn’t travel to the golf course for breakfast.

Good one night stop over location en route from Whistler to Jasper. Unfortunately the hotel has a policy that you must wash your own dishes etc otherwise they will charge you for not doing so. This would of course not be a problem, except the hotel room had no plugs for the sink, therefore you could not fill a bowl for washing up. Additionally kitchen knives were left in floor height cupboards which was very dangerous for our one year old, luckily we checked the cupboards and discovered this, but had we not, there could have been a very nasty accident.

Reception was polite but mislead us to what services were open for food, the room was clean but needed quite a bit of repair. There was one small light for the entire property. For the cost of the room, the expectation was not met.

Staff were nice and polite. Room was clean. Breakfast was hosted 8 min away at the golf course. Very hospitable; very filling breakfast. Nice trail to the lake , alittle better signaged but very nice to drink coffee at sunrise Stayed for three days and would do it again

The propery was dated and in disrepair, mold on shower curtain, dirty carpets and the included breakfast was 8km away at a decapitated golf course...way overpriced for the service we recieved.

Close to lake. Quick access to main highway. Property just renovated, so some facilities was not upto the mark, but it did not affected our stay. Owner friendly explained the situation. Overall a good stay.

We've been staying at the Civilia (formerly Dutch Motel) for several years on our travels between Victoria & Edmonton and it just keeps getting better! The room renovations and updates transformed the generous sized rooms into very pleasing spaces. Now with breakfast included it's perfect!

Main negative is false advertising. The dining facility is not on site but a 10 min drive down the highway. After that, the property is reasonably priced for what you get. Our room had clean bedding, comfy beds, hot water, great coffee and a powerful shower. It has lovely seating area outside, which backs onto a stunning lake. Unfortunately there was a hole in the wall, furniture was chipped, bathroom towel rail dented and coming off the wall. The restaurant at the golf club only serves set breakfasts (eggs, sausages, potatoes, bacon, fruit and yoghurt).

Our 1 bedroom room with a kitchenette was fine. The hotel is close to the amenities in Clearwater. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The included breakfast had dry and chewy scrambled eggs, dry and chewy toast that wasn't buttered or cut in half. The bacon, sausage, yogurt and fruit was fine. There is no lake access directly in front of the property as it appears to be in the aerial shot on the website. A public beach access can be walked to along a busy street that takes about 8 minutes.

It is right beside Dutch Lake. Beautiful location. Your stay includes breakfast. However you have to drive 7 minutes to the club house of a golf course in order to have your breakfast. The food was below average. I did not enjoy it. Also, the place was not well maintained.

Found out that the complimentary breakfast was 8 kms south of the hotel. One man trying to cook and serve the food food by himself. NOT GOOD !!! 110 plug in bathroom did not work. All said and done it was not a great experience.

This could be a wonderful accommodation to stay at with proper upkeep in terms of cleanliness and replacing broken appliances and furniture. Unfortunately was unable to reach the front desk at time of concerns and time of check out, as a sign was posted in the lobby that no staff were available to check out guests.
