Location near station is fantastic and staff wonderful and friendly. However, the lack of facilities and trying to make a buck was terrible - no kettles in room, a lovely lobby area with tea/coffee that could have been a huge positive but instead there is a charge for any beverage (self made tea and coffee from an old machine) - make it free and create a nice welcoming area for guests to gather, rather than an opportunity to make a buck.

Excellent choice at this price range! The room was big, clean and warm. wifi worked great, the bathroom had a bathtub (loved it!) and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was no refrigerator or tea/coffee in the room, but there was a coffee machine ($€) in the lobby and a microwave (!, which was absolutely great!). The location is mostly quiet (except for some loud boys gathering on a street one evening) and I mostly didn’t hear other guests „coughing“. Highly recommend overall!

The hotel is well located a short walk from the centre of Clermont Ferrand. We were able to park on the road outside the hotel, which is free from 19:00-0900 and all day on Sunday. The hotel does have a car park but we didn't need to use it. The rooms were smallish but it is a city centre building in France so this wasn't a surprise. Overall, for the price a good stay.

Avoid avoid avoid

Booked two months prior and on my booking form I had a queen size bed and two single beds, for a family with two children 11 and 14. After paying for the room and getting into the room, I discovered I had a double bed and a double sofa bed. I had specifically booked the single beds for my children, and I didn't want a sofa bed as they aren't particularly comfortable. The rooms so moved you had to get into your bed from the bottom of the bed as there was no room to get out the side of the bed. I complained to the girl in the reception, Alexandra, she just really didn't care, advising me that on booking this room, the beds I booked were already booked out. So I asked, you lied then when I booked this room, and she replied yes. I asked for my money backs I was going to find another hotel room but she said she couldn't give me a refund. I asked to speak to the manager but she advised me the manager was on holiday for two weeks. I asked for the managers email address but she didn't want to give it to me. " what does it matter, there are no other rooms", " it's the same price, as the other room". As if I was getting a bargain. I was trapped and this was part of my holiday. I have massive issues with hotels.com too as I rang them, who said they would relocate me, they needed to speak to the reception of Albert Elisabeth hotel but 2 members of hotel.com tried ringing but no one picked up the phone. Awful hostel style "hotel" . Thishotel is not in a chain, it is a one off.

Cest un hotel de standing moyen, assez ancien. Laccueil est tres sympathique. Il y a une veritable volonté d'accueillir. La chambre est assez petite, un peu bruyante car les equipements son anciens. Mais le sachant cest un hotel efficace où l'on peut passer un bon sejour. Très proche de la gare. A 15 mn a pied de la place de la Victoire.
