I was in town for the night and needed a space to crash. I stopped by on my way into town (around 12:30 pm) to "pre" check in (couldn't get the link sent via text to work thanks airport wifi). The sweet young gal at the front desk with beautiful blue hair was professional and personable! I wish I got her name so I could personally call her out here. She offered to see what she had available then, but I wasn't looking for an early check in, just wanted to speed up the process later on. My only request was to be placed in a room on the "quiet side" (away from the freeway noise). When I returned around 7 pm that night, I was given room 427 on the 4th floor and it was perfect! Quiet, large, clean, well stocked, and room for me to spread out my ridiculous amount of luggage. The room has everything you'd need including a mini fridge, microwave and mini keurig. I have family that have recently moved to the area and this will be my go to hotel from here on out. Oh, and the breakfast was delicious and filling (hot and cold options).

The mattress in our room was terrible!!! My hips and back hurt from sleeping in a hole. We mentioned it to the staff and they said that all the mattresses needed to be replaced, but that wasn't happening until the hotel was remodeled later in the year. Sure didn’t help us rest well. The scrambled eggs at breakfast were so dry they were not worth eating. They were even a green color. The microwave in our room had a very tricky start switch. Sometimes it worked and sometimes not. It was also placed in a position that was poorly lighted so it was hard to read the buttons. The shower was a hand held unit was was almost impossible to adjust. The coffee selection was only dark roast or decaf. We would like to have had a medium roast. In spite of all this we must commend the staff for working under these conditions. I doubt if we ever stay in a La Quinta again.
