Mountainside Home with Stunning Lake Views Just Minutes from Downtown CDA

Fernan Terrace Retreat is a large 3,000 square-foot modern cabin-style home that is located within a peaceful residential neighborhood on a quiet dead end road. As you walk down the 3 sets of stairs from the street level to the homes front door you will be taken back by the large sprawling decks, plenty of outdoor seating and breathtaking views that overlook beautiful Lake Fernan. The home is conveniently located just 2 miles from downtown Coeur d' Alene, 0.8 miles to the centennial trail and the Iron Man course, and 0.8 miles to the nearest brewery and a great local favorite restaurant called Moontime. Lake Coeur d'Alene offers endless fun for the whole family: boating, kayaking, jet skiing, fishing and hiking. Overall, this is a great home for romantic getaways, family gatherings or just a nice peaceful retreat.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms layout:

- Bedroom #1 - The beautiful master bedroom is located just up stairs from the main living room area on the third floor. As you reach the top of the stairs you will see a cozy loft area for watching movies or reading a great book. There is a King-size bed and a walk-in closet.
- Bathroom #1 - The 1st full bathroom is located just off of the master bedroom.
- Bedroom #2 - Is located to the right as you walk in the front door and down to the end of the hallway. It's next to the #3 bedroom and #2 bathroom. It has a Queen size bed.
- Bathroom #2 - The 2nd full bathroom is located on the main floor just to the right down the hallway as you walk in the front door.
- Bedroom #3 - Is located next to bedroom #2. The room has a queen size bed.
- Bedroom #4 - Is located down stairs to the left of the 2nd living room area on the left hand side. The room has a king size bed and a bunk bed.
- Bathroom #3 - Is located downstairs just off of the 2nd kitchen area.

Living Areas and common spaces:

- Kitchen #1 - Is located on the main floor as you walk in the front door entrance and has everything a chef or family may need for preparing a great meal. There is also a gas BBQ on the main deck for outdoor cooking as well.
- Living room #1 - Is located on the main floor to the left as you walk in and has large expansive windows that create a stunning backdrop of lake views from the moment you enter. It has a gas fireplace
- Kitchen #2 is located downstairs to the right hand side.
- Living room #2 is downstairs and it is complete with fold out couches, gas fireplace, full 2nd kitchen and even a infrared sauna to top it all off.
- Decks - There is a large wrap around deck on the main floor and a downstairs deck. Both decks have plenty of outdoor seating. The downstairs deck even has 2 hammocks for relaxing and or napping in.

Attention Stairs: This house is Not Handicapped accessible and does have many staircases both leading down to the house from the street and stairs inside the home going up to the master bedroom and downstairs to the lower level of the home so please plan accordingly.

Friends getaway

The location is great - very close to the downtown area. The house was perfect for the four of us - we had plenty of comfortable areas to relax and enjoy the lake views. If anyone has mobility issues this may not be the house for you - lots of steps getting down into the house (30) in addition to the stairs to upper and lower bedrooms which are in the photos of the house. Main floor does have 2 nice bedrooms.

Dark 4 flights of stairs 3282 E Fernan Terrace , Coeur d’Alene,IID

First of all they need to hire a new cleaning crew. When we arrived it definitely had not been properly cleaned. There were four flights of stairs you had to go up and down to enter the property and if you came in or left after dark there was no lighting to see the steps. Otherwise it was a very nice location very beautiful view and close to town.

View from Balcony was Beautiful

Got together with friends for a ladies retreat. There were 8 of us. We loved spending time on the balcony, we typically all ended up enjoying our breakfast there and in the evenings we chatted and enjoyed the view. There are 3 outdoor areas, the balcony on the main level was where we spent most our time together but the ladies in the downstairs area had a balcony they often used and there was another smaller area to have some time outside and away from everyone. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Very spacious and comfortable.

We spent the week there while our kids were in hockey camp. Lovely home!!! Tons of space, beautiful deck, comfortable beds. The home was stocked and had everything we needed. Zero complaints!! Management company showed up promptly to replace propane tank on grill. Things to note: no microwave in main kitchen, however there is one in basement kitchen. Also, no TV in main living area next to kitchen, though many TVs on other floors of home. These were no issues for us for the most part, but would have liked a tv on main level since we were there during Stanley Cup playoffs. Other than that, amazing home and great service!!!

Very spacious, great location and comfortable

We were on a guy’s trip and there are 8 beds and 2 couches to sleep on. The location is great and the deck is perfect catching up over coffee and cocktails. Three different floors and gathering areas is very nice. In addition, I really appreciated the host being very responsive to questions.

Wonderful mountainside home!

The home is absolutely beautiful and the views are wonderful (even had some deer come visit)! A lot of room for everyone, and perfect for a peaceful, secluded stay...yet minutes away from town and travel, etc. I am still solid on my 5 stars, however, we feel it needs to added that there are 30+ outside wooden stairs that have to be travelled to get to and from the parking area at the road to the entryway door of the rental. It does not state that it is handicapped accessible, but...if you have to carry anything large or heavy, have older travel companions, or if there is inclement weather, just prepare for this. Like I stated, a solid 5 star VRBO property! We would absolutely stay here again I would love to stay here in the summer as well. I bet the views are incredible year round.

Awesome stay

We loved our stay at this beautiful property. The home is spacious, comfortable and more than accommodated our family group of 13 people. We had a stunning view of the lake from both decks and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the lower deck’s 2 hammock swings. If not for our scheduled itinerary, we would’ve all just loved staying at the house.

Coeur d'Alene family rental

Our family enjoyed the home tremendously. It was close to nearby activities and stores, yet remote enough so we felt as if we had it all to ourselves. The view of the lake is amazing. I would rent again if we vacation in Idaho again.
