Staff were helpful, the room was clean and parking was on site which was nice. The grounds around the hotel were quite nice which had many orange and lemon trees loaded with fruit. Pool was being cleaned when we were there and we would not go into the pool even though staff said that we could. It was quite dirty. The hotel is about a 20 minute ride into the heart of Coimbra. We would recommend a taxi or Uber since parking is very hard to find in Coimbra.

Palace Sao Silvestre is an easy 10min drive from the heart of Coimbra and it was an oasis to return to. This hotel is a very relaxing place to stay. Beautiful pool to cool down in or relax next to, picnic next to a vineyard, breakfast in the dining room or out on the patio and bar/dining on site; food & service were great. Nice hotel, rooms are a bit outdated but clean. Room with good terrace with poolside view. Pool is big and very nice and clean. The area is very quiet and no restaurants in the village itself. The hotel reataurant offers good food.
