Only 7 rooms. Great unique place. Very friendly staff. Dinner offerings, including quality of menu, could be better. With such fresh ingredients, the chef could have a special of the day. 90% of offerings are spicy. Would lower that ratio.

I stayed at Maniumpathy for 3 nights after a long business trip- From the welcoming to the end- pure luxury - The staff was incredibly helpful- impeccable service- The concierge was able to book dinners for me at 2 fantastic restaurants prior to my arrival- The room- gorgeous- If you get the chance- stay in the suite on the second floor!- so well appointed , extremely clean, and comfortable The location is excellent- close to everything - restaurants, shopping, and beaches- I would definitely come back and recommend to anyone visiting Colombo- and wanting a quiet Luxury experience Thanks to the entire Staff!

Hotel is a former 100-year old mansion that has been beautifully and sensitively transformed into a boutique hotel. Each of the 8 rooms is individually decorated with the upstairs rooms being especially spacious. Room decor is reflective of the colonial era (teak canopy beds, secretaries, decorative antiques) with fully modern amenities (lovely bathroom, A/C, satellite TV). We had dinner and breakfast at the property. Both were delicious with spice levels matching guest preference. While more limited in services, the pool is lovely, and the location is excellent - close to higher-end shopping and dining options. The staff was also excellent. We felt like we were guests in a family home with an authentically local experience at a refined level.

Beautiful property. The photos don't do it justice. The service is also incredible - everyone who is at the property is so kind and goes out of their way to make sure you're happy. The room was perfect and much better than expected based on the photos. I was scared the room would be a bit dirty with the antique-looking furniture, but I was so pleasantly surprised with how clean it all was. The food was also really delicious.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Was man sich sparen kann: die hoteleigene Tuk Tuk City Tour. Da sieht man nicht viel spannendes, der guide wusste zudem auch nicht wirklich viel zu erzählen. Zimmer im Hauptgebäude sind wohl recht laut, da sehr nah zur Strasse.

Beautiful property with clean spacious rooms. Staff could not do enough to make us feel welcome. We arrived 2 days after the bombings and spent much of our 2 days at the hotel due to tight security throughout Colombo. We felt very safe with a security guard on duty behind a high fence dnd locked gates. Thank you to all the staff and management for making our stay so wonderful. We will be back next year. This is truly a magnificent property.
