Amazing stay

We had such a great stay at the Chamonix! The room was clean and we had a great view! The pool was amazing, even in the winter. The staff was welcoming and friendly! We can’t wait to come back!

Great Hotel, but avoid that mini-bar!

Pros: The hotel is brand new, and decorated very nicely. They have a beautiful spa and outdoor heated roof-top pool, which was warm enough to get into in January, but very cold getting out. Our standard hotel room had robes to use at no extra charge, and there is a sauna to warm up in after you get out of the pool. I love that they have a valet, bell-hop, and room service which was quite good. We also enjoyed the bar in the casino which had great drinks and friendly bar tenders. Bring extra cash to tip the staff, because most of them go above and beyond. We also enjoyed the onsite steakhouse, but it was very expensive. Our bill was almost $300 for 2 people including tip, but we did enjoy the food and the atmosphere there. Cons: The bed we had was very, very soft and the sheets were a bit scratchy, but only because they are so new. Our friends said that their bed was really hard, so it seems to differ from room to room. We avoided the mini bar, and brought our own portable refrigerator due to hearing about the weighted mini bar and snack holder that will charge you for so much as breathing on it. This mini bar system is a real pain for guests and staff alike, and they made it clear that there were no refunds if you mistakenly moved an item or opened the refrigerator. The hotel should seriously consider getting rid of this, because it honestly creates bad feelings on day one. Overall, we had a really nice stay and will return.
