This downtown location is great - walkable to many restaurants, shops, and the state capital. We highly recommend the free guided tour of the state capital. Check-in was easy and free street parking on the weekend saved us $40 because we did not have to use the hotel garage. The room was spacious, clean, and stylish. However, we did not sleep well due to the wall AC unit being loud and we could hear the street traffic late into the night and early in the morning.

We really enjoyed our stay we were in town for a little league baseball tournament and our 10 and 14 year old lived the hotel the pool table and lounge outside with jenga was a hit. The location was great lots of good food otions within walking distance.

Great location. Nice place. Walkable. The parking garage elevator didn't work and the parking attendant really was driving cars through the garage like an Indy car race. Kind of dangerous.

The property worked great for our needs. We needed to book rooms last minute due to a flight cancellation and Aloft had availability. The area was filled with dining options since it was near the USC campus. We booked two rooms and while clean, one room had a distinct smell that reminded me of the smell of dog urine. We were told that the hotel was pet friendly. They sprayed the carpet in the room which worked temporarily but the smell came back unfortunately. We were able to get through the night but they should probably get rid of that carpet or remove it for cleaning.

Prince Treatment

Great staff, especially the front desk. They didn’t miss a beat and was on top of everything, from check in to check out. Again, I felt like a prince coming home to his soon to be kingdom.

Great Staff

There’s a couple ladies at the front desk who were phenomenal. All the front desk staff was nice, but two stand out. One was Latash the LR Diamond, and the young lady who work at Verizon before Aloft. I felt like I was a prince visiting a nearby kingdom. Thank you, for making my homecoming pleasant!

Terrible experience. At check-in, staff weirdly warned me three times that the self-park gate “might not work” — as if that’s my problem. Room smelled bad, asked to switch, but the new one smelled the same. Uncomfortable bed, no water pressure in the shower. Also, elevator #2 still has a 2023 inspection certificate — pretty sure it’s overdue. 1/10. Skip this place and stay at the Cambria a block away — way better for the same price.
