The updated room is esthetically pleasing and modern. Best stay for your dollar in this area. The staff is all pleasant and even through the aging of the building they seem to be managing well. The elevators are a lil janky but they work. I didn't try the breakfast this visit.

First off the renovations were done very nicely. Loved the decor. Loved the AC unit as it knew to change from cool to heat when the room was too cool and vice versa. My rating would have been a 5 but there were a few things that I would change or fix. One, the showers water only got up to lukewarm. The microwave did the countdown but did not do the warming. And lastly, the staff knocking on the doors at 8:00am to announce that checkout was at 11. We were aware of that during booking. Minus those things we enjoyed the stay. Would book again.

The room was clean and nice none of their “refreshed” rooms as they call it. Not sure I would want to risk one that isn’t considered this based in the condition outside the property and as you walk into the building. Clearly a very rough neighbourhood, people picking through garbage there was foul smelling urine in the parking lot, run down boarded up homes down the street. But the room was nice and clean!
